I would ask for the designer & start ringing round other stores or even the big outlets xxx

I don't think they allow you to know who the designer is until you pay deposit x

Really? Iv never heard of that, I just asked when I was trying on & they said the designer, I didn't get the style number but searching on the designer I found it. As it happens the shop then had a sample sale which included my dream dress at half price :-) good luck with the search xx

found the dress!!! It's a mark lesley 7017!!! Unfortunately the only stockist in my county is the one I tried it on in. Any ideas how I could get this for cheaper?

I know there's a board around here somewhere about people ordering online (from China I think) and having great success with sending pictures of the designer dress they'd found and having it replicated - might be worth checking that out!

I think that's great for them people and I did consider it but for me it's just not worth the risk.

Where are you based kl? There are some really big outlet stores around the country that have hundreds of dresses, you could ring & ask?
Alternatively if you ring other stores that stock that designer they might be able to order a particular style for you? Xx

I'm based in cumbria, I've actually seen another dress I like so will try that on on the 1st March and it's cheaper than the other one {but not by much!}

Try the wedding dress factory outlet at Bolton, it's meant to be handy off the train & they have a vast selection x
