I phoned to tell them I'd not heard anything and he just asked me which charity I wanted it to go to and he seemed to make a note of it. I asked how I would know it had been paid over and there is no way! My account is closed too - he never asked for any account details.
Sounds a bit dodgy! I probably won't bother then unless they contact me about it.

If you don't nominate a charity it gets divided equally between them all.

I wonder who will audit how much the Coop will be paying to what charities as part of this promise. And when and how that audit will get published.

I remember I recorded my chosen charity at least 4 times in their mickey-mouse nomination system, without them ever telling me I had already told them. Which tempts me to believe it's all a big shambles.

If it does, how will those who are paying salary in (because they don't have an £800 float) put food on the table in the meantime?

It doesn't YB. you know this:D

you can withdraw the £800 soon after it is deposited. but the account looking 'normal' in terms of usage may be a good idea... in my experience Co-op Bank can be quite determined not to adhere to their own offer terms:naughty:

i might go back to Co-op Bank for another slice of this..
and generate a £25 donation to HospiceUK in the process.

just not sure how long it's been since i was a Co-op Bank customer...and whether it matters:think:

is there any angle at all to move more than 1 account to Co-op Bank and generate 2 or more £100+£25s?

You'll find the answer to both in the incentive T&Cs.

well, it appears to me that:

    1. it doesn't matter: no account on 1st October 2014.
    2. assume there's no angle. opening 1 account will make a person an existing customer.

but by all means share your own thoughts:A

If you've already had "a slice of this", condition 10 says it all...doesn't it?

"You can only benefit from this offer once. If your qualifying current account is opened in joint names we will only credit the qualifying current account with £100 not £100 for each person named on the account."

interesting.. i haven't had This offer before, ie. £100+£25. but i have had an account opening incentive from Co-op Bank in the past.

Sorry, when you said "this", I assumed you meant this offer, ie the current one being discussed. It would appear you're good to go then.
