Do you think you can qualify for this if you took advantage of this offer a couple of years ago? It says this in the t&c

You can only benefit from this offer once, and joint accounts will only qualify for one payment of £100

I read "this offer" as meaning the current offer. Existing customers will qualify subject to the T&Cs http://www.co-operativebank.co.uk/currentaccounts/125switch/terms?int_cmp=CA_CA_125-tandc_terms_viewfulltermsandconditions
You will not qualify for this offer if you are an existing customer with any Co-operative Bank or smile current account and have credited to that account an average of £800 or more per month over the 3 months prior 1 February 2014, or since you opened your account if that is a shorter period of time.

There is quite a bit of room for not qualifying, such as they seem to insist that "wage, salary, pension" gets paid into the account. Unless, of course, they don't know the difference between "i.e." and "e.g.", which is a distinct possibility.

Yes, they are inconsistent in the requirements at least. Their main account page suggests any, single payment, of £800 would qualify for the £100 (exclude the switching balance transferred):

    http://www.co-operativebank.co.uk/currentaccounts/125switch/existing-customers?int_cmp=CA_CA_offer_existing-customers_offerforexistingcustomers
Pay into your account and we'll give you £100
You need to credit your current account with at least £800 within 31 days of your switch date. This could be a regular payment into your account, like a salary or pension†.
We will then credit your account with £100 within 45 days from the date your switch is completed, if you have met the terms and conditions of the offer.
  • I have a dormant current account I would like to switch can someone please help, I have no direct debits on the account or standing orders what would be simplest way to meet the criteria of the coop?

A dummies step by step guide would be muchly appreciated.

Simplest is to set up a couple of SOs. If you don't know how to do this without help, then I am afraid, I don't think you are ready for bagging a switching bonus.

Another hidden charge by natwest just sealed there fate as they refused to refund me. Looking to switch everything.

    Joint Accounts

£100 is nice but does it come with any other extras (insurances etc)
  • Standard account or current account plus? which is best to apply for?

All features are on their website. No accounts with insurances on offer any longer.

depends what you are looking for though I personally would go for as much as I can get for free. The features of each are detailed on their website.

You can also apply for smile if a slightly larger overdraft is of benefit to you.
