Bit of a bad head for me this morning :o The pub had bottles of wine for £6.99 so it seemed rude not to.....

I have a bad head too, but not had the pleasure of a drink (unless you count decaf coffee :o)

Might try for a nap. Before the littlies come home.

I have taken the shower trim back off and had it in bleach all day - it looks much better though slightly stained. It's not drying off befor I put it back again. All washing has been ironed. Button sewn on trousers.

I have also bitten the bullet and balanced what I owe DD.

I have got to the bottom of 'the box' and even dealt with the unopened mail I had flubng in there.

As the lid got used as a makeshift cat litter tray a few weeks ago I am not keeping the box (a rather pretty Thorntons hamper box) and am going to rip it down and fling it shortly!

DD and I have had toad in the hole and cauliflower cheese for lunch.

I took everything off the bathroom windowsill and washed it all. When I took it all back upstairs, I only put back what I know I'll use this week. The rest has gone into the cupboard and the bathroom now looks a lot better.
    Better is good enough.

Nooo, have just nudged my pen pot and knocked all the contents down the back of the desk. I really dont fancy trying to retrieve it all. This desk has not been moved for a very long time.
I feel your pain... I wish I had £1 for every time I've dropped something down the back of my desk. Luckily I have one of those picker-upper thingies from the Mobility Shop, so I can usually retrieve whatever I've dropped with that.

Not got a lot done today; Mr LW coloured my hair for me this morning (it was rapidly becoming more silver than red) and I've felt really grotty ever since. I seem to be running a temperature now, too; so it's likely I've picked up a bug of some sort.

Scarily, I've also noticed an actual bald patch. As in visible to Mr LW, too.:eek: If that continues, methinks some clever stuff with scarves will need to be done whenever I have to show my face in public; I don't really want to resort to wigs just yet.:(

Hopefully I'll be able to rest this evening (depends on what Mr LW wants to do) and maybe I'll feel a bit better come morning - ready for a new week of [STRIKE]enthusiastic Flying[/STRIKE] feeble Flapping.:D

What you need, round your desk LW, is a rim.

To my shame, after losing a few things at work, it has occurred to me that having the waste bin right next to my desk was NOT a good idea. It has now been moved.

  • Take it easy LW. Oh and I have peered down the back of the desk and fished out one or two things but the rest might have to stay there for now.

Done 7 hrs paid stuff. This is job number 2 that I do from home and fit around everything else so its a nice feeling getting it all up to date. Went out last night and had one or two more drinks than was sensible so I am flagging now. Have hoovered upstairs and done a bit of laundry but everything else can wait.

Day off tomorrow but I am taking DS1 to hospital 50 miles away for a check up so it will be a long day. An early night is in order I think.

May I suggest something, as you dye your hair? Do what Cliff Richard does, and dye your scalp! A bit of a crafty combover and hey presto!

    Hello all

Hope you've all had a lovely Sunday

LW my friend who passed from ovarian cancer in Oct managed to find some beautiful scarves to cover her head. Head scarves suited her and she always looked stylish and beautiful

My dad and brother came round yesterday to put some plastic sheeting to the sun room roof - the flashing is in a bad way :( but you're right Pigpen better for it to happen now rather than 2 days before completion

Project move has moved very slightly forward - unpainted kitchen door which I put primer on a couple of weeks ago has been glossed. Also the cabinet in the bathroom has been given a makeover.

I've also made the decision to give away the furniture I no longer want, I've tried to sell them but had no takers. There is a local charity that helps the homeless and trains them to restore furniture & electrical items. So my donations will hopefully be worth more than the few £ I will get for them.

Yesterday whilst at the paid stuff there was some shouting outside (not unusual for the area) it turned out an elderly man had been hit by a car and was laying in the road. My work colleague went out and I rang 999 - I was on hold for the ambulance! (I blame Cameron for that, not the ambulance service, I'm sure they do the best they can with their budgets). Which has brought home something to me, I'm just existing here, not living. I really have to get on with the DIY and then job hunt. *whispers* I'd also like to have a family but I'm too scared to dream that big

See you on the other fred

Littlies are in bed <phew> but lovely having them home. Just having a cuppa and an oaty banana muffin (mmm but they got a bit stuck in the pan) then I might have a hhc in the garage. It's not finished, I fear it may take this weeks declutter too. But its heaps better than it was.
Hopefully will get a CS Baggie this week.

Which reminds me, kazwookie, I have the anorak and now a rather fetching pink duffle coat in age 2-3 in my little stash for you. I will soon be going through another box (in the next couple of weeks, but I think they are not arriving imminently?)

There is some packaging I can probably put in the green bin, it is nowhere near full and due to be emptied on Wednesday. So that might be tonight's sort.

There's some clothes ready for putting away but the school ironing is done and bags ready for tomorrow.

I've not done any more on my job form (I have to apply for my own job ) but hoping to have some time tomorrow. It has to be done by Tuesday pm <yikes>. I did answer every question last week, but it will need editing. Perhaps my boss had time to look and will offer his two penn'orth...

Deco (hugs) we none of us know what the future has in store. Never give up hope, you are still young, you know what you want, and you are doing something about it X
