Lemanie - the word is that OfSted have moved goalposts.

Plus the school will be being scrutinised big time so don't make any hasty decisions. They will be working very very hard to improve.

and as for the rest? TGIF!!!!

You are not joking, weekend much quieter thankfully :rotfl:

DS1 only has his GCSEs to finish in May so we aren't too worried. DD did well in hers in 2012 at the same school? DS2s was under Ofsted scrutiny in Jan too, no news yet so fingers crossed, they were already at a 3 and it's 2 years until we have to decide about secondary for him.

    Thanks Dusty.

    Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.

  • Hi all, haven't been flying much since I first posted a couple of weeks ago as I had super-long days at work and just been away for a week. however, I now have myself a nice list of bits to try and do today before I go to a friends for dinner.

    Happy Flying.

Morning all. Another lie in and a lovely long soak in the bath. I'm now wasting time on here before taking the dogs out. Will bath them when we're back then hoover through again. I can hear the wind outside so think I will do my seed planting in the kitchen and spend minimal time outside with that.

No other real plans today. Have a good one everyone.

Mumof2 Thanks, took your advice and haven't done more than S&S bathrooms and kitchen over the weekend. OH hoovered stairs and downstairs so they're all fine and he's done laundry and some (but not much) ironing.
Have paid work this weekend til Tues morning so won't be doing much flying unless I get most of it done today - the work not the flying.

Hope you're all safe and the sickies are feeling a little better. Seems like a good day to snuggle up on the sofa and watch old movies.

    Morning all

Spend the morning in bed with the family watching the Winter Olympics, drinking tea and eating scones - we know how to live it up in Mason Dusty :D

Bedding now stripped and in the machine to make us all get up! Probably too windy to put it on the line so maidens it shall be.

Just over an hour until we need to go so I'll quickly add postage prices to my ebay sales finishing today - ooops, forgot to do that.

  • Morning everyone,

Bit of a bad head for me this morning :o The pub had bottles of wine for £6.99 so it seemed rude not to.....

DS has just made cinamon rolls which smell lovely. DD's bed is stripped & I'm now going to do HHI x2 before I pick her up from her sleepover.

I'm not sure I will get much more of my list done, but I'll be happy if the ironing basket is empty:D

    Happy Sunday!

Me again, have just got back from a lovely long walk with the dogs but after a busy week my energy is now sapped. So I've just quickly hoovered downstairs BUT the dogs will not be bathed (LittleyDog has had a quick rub down though), the seeds will not get planted.

Dinner will be cooked later but other than that I plan to read, do some puzzles and competitions and catch up on some TV. Time to recharge my batteries ready for the week ahead.

Actorly-type has hired a car with three other people to get home for a day or two and apparently that's cheaper than the train anyway. OH getting a lift back from Exeter having been de-trained at Salisbury, so that means both lines are now out. and we now only have roadlinks. I found myself nearly in tears this morning, listening to people on the radio talking about how they're coping, and I'm not easily moved.

The Great 2014 Wardrobe sort continues apace. I spent two hours trying on the clothes in the already filleted chest of drawers (two more tops are going) and then started on some of the trousers and jeans, carefully working out if I could cobble together some decent looking outfits from clothes I would otherwise have had to let go. Managed to come up with some new ideas, which was huge fun.

Bathroom deep-clean started and the grout around the shower bleached this morning, so thanks for the reminder Valli. Looks a lot better. Middle layer to Dyson and then the whole house has been done. Chunk of whoopsied freezer-lurker beef ready to go into the oven for a long slow cooked wintery meal tonight.

I too am missing the wonderful Skinty's posts.
    Better is good enough.
