It would appear that OldDog who is not food driven has been hiding the treats she doesn't want, but doesn't want LittleyDog to have either.

Aww that's cute. When I was away at uni my parents moved house, it was a building site so they brought our little dog to me for a term. When we took him home at Easter I went round the house and found hoardes of those little bonio biccies hidden behind things :D he must have thought "these students are bound to forget to feed me one day" :rotfl:

    Laundry laundry laundry...
Kids have gone, peaceful here. Let the dot to dotting commence. When I can get my lazy @ss off the computer... :D

Bossy, you've made me think that maybe OldDog didn't think she'd get fed this week when I was away.

Soup simmering, going to waste some time on t'internet, eat some soup then plant some seeds.

Poorly baby snoozing in my arms.. her temp is much better but her breathing is awful :( And her cough makes me wince every time.

OH still needing a slap for being a grumpy git.

Bills paid and outgoings kind of sorted for next month.. I need to ring and sort last loan payment next week..

I have some vouchers expire tomorrow so need to trot to the shop to spend those..

Squeak has a party at 2 so I need to wrap the present and get her dressed. DD1 sent for hair mincing.. she has moaned about not having had it done for ages. I need to find a few boxes to fill with toy flingage and check ebay.. I think DS3's stuff ends today.. I would also like to sort stuff in my room but doubt I'll find time.

Still waiting for word of DH's delivery - and in the meantime the best of the weather has been and gone (we even had sunshine for a couple of hours!) and now our chances of getting out this afternoon to visit a particularly beautiful garden with masses of hellebores and witchhazels are greatly diminished :(

But on the up side, I have replanted a hydrangea and some bulbs which the Garden Gang dug up, and I have set up my compost bin and thrown the first lot of banana skins and veg peelings into it. It is raised on bricks but standing over bare earth, and there was a worm showing its face when I was putting the bricks round, so I hope he calls all his mates to come to a feast :D Otherwise I might just have to go across to the stables and see if I can get a bucketful of well-rotted oomph with plenty of worms in it and add that to the compost heap. And to those of you who came to the York meet: no, I shall not be using DH's new fire bucket for that purpose!

DS1 brought the DGDs here for an hour, so we have enjoyed drinks and cake (that's what grannies are for, isn't it?) and played in DH's playroom while it's empty. DS has also taken away the bits we got for them at 1ke@, so that's made space in the dining room again.

Bacon and eggs for lunch, I think...

    Afternoon all

Enjoyed watching some of the winter olympics earlier, flying maybe greatly reduced again for the next 2 weeks.

Been to town and the library to run a few errands.

Washing been put on the line and promptly back in as another heavy shower is in progress. To the maidens it shall be.

Time for a cuppa I think and to bake something yummy. I should be writing a governor reports, doing an agenda, reading some minutes etc but I'm bored of being a governor now so am close to saying when my term ends in October I shall be standing down.

    Hurrah!

I've started on my wardrobe. I've found a few things that need a new home (in our house) and a few that need a new home (elsewhere) :p

Spoke to mum, she thought she was coming here rather than me going there. She's bringing chicken and we're going to have a healthy dinner :T

I'm sorting clothes as well. I'm doing the wardrobe thing that Dusty prescribed a few weeks ago, and I've now had time to research what I wanted to keep and what needed to go. And why - which is what is taking the time.

The heartbreaking thing (for me) is that I now realise I've been chasing a chimera with my clothes buying for years. The things I really love that I really shouldn't ever have been wearing all have something in common - they're pretty, floral cottons. I foresee a patchwork quilt that I will absolutely love (and OH will hate). In the meantime, the local Hospice shop now has the rest - a cashmere cardigan, two silk dresses, some American designer tops, a Hobbs jacket and few other tasty bits and pieces that no longer fit or never suited in the first place so I didn't wear them.

It's looking a bit bare in the wardrobe and chest of drawers and I have a mountain of stuff I need to try on before deciding whether it can stay or go. Mostly go, I fear.

I also have to clean the shower room, the bathroom, Dy$on the top layer, zazz the stairs and swab the kitchen floor. I think I'll do most of the cleaning, have a bath and then then bathroom, then try on the pile on the bed.

I have about 100 coathangers going spare.
    Better is good enough.

  • Done 5.5 hours paid work, bit of swishing and swiping here and there in between and two loads of washing done. All doggies bedding out on the line for a freshen up but I had better bring it in because it looks like rain.

I have got an hour before I need to pick DS2 up. Might veg out on the sofa and paint my nails (going out tonight). But then again I should really hoover up the dog hairs on the landing ... and I dont think our bed has been made. Then theres some washing to put away.

    Sigh.

Nooo, have just nudged my pen pot and knocked all the contents down the back of the desk. I really dont fancy trying to retrieve it all. This desk has not been moved for a very long time.

Seeds ready for planting but its too cold out to go and sort the compost. Just back from walking the dogs and don't want to be outside any more today. So planting will take place tomorrow if the wind dies down. It is gale force out there at the moment, walking was difficult.

Anyway, I am just having a cuppa to warm up and will then read the paper (yesterdays), by which time I expect DH will be home.
