I have recently used directpetfoods for my Royal Canin. It was the cheapest place I could find online, not heard of them before but my order arrived next day so I was happy.

They have an extremely limited variety of Royal Canin diets. Ok if you have a young healthy cat or a kitten I suppose but certainly not cheaper than other pet stores.

Sorry, I should have said, it was a big bag of dog food I ordered. Medium breed.

I didn't look at the cat food

After my previous post about Royal Canin dog food I did get it from Berriewood Wholesale and found the price competive for 2x 15kg bags at that time. I also found it made one of my 2 very gassy  not pleasant. So I'm now trying Burns Sensitive Pork & Potato. I got 2x 15kg bags for £78.99 p&p free from Millbry Hill, arrived within 3 days from order so pleased. Would be interested to know if anyone has found this cheaper that I could try next time?

I always use VioVet.co.uk as their service and price is excellent.
I can buy prescription medicine at half the price my vet charges!

I find them good too. If I have been unsure about something, I have given them a call and they have been quick to answer and given good advice too. I think this code still works VVRMPJZYU You can use it if you are a new customer to Viovet and as long as you spend over £15. :T

I just tried using Farm & Pet Place http://www.farmandpetplace.co.uk having seen it mentioned on MSE.

I use six 20kg bags of wild bird seed a month plus other pet food all to the value of £80 per month. I wanted to buy online as I'm getting too old to lift it all out of the car.

Farm & Pet Place said they couldn't do me a discount for such volume as they deliver free. Fair enough. I ordered 2 bags as a trial and a pack of suet to make the initial order a bit more worthwhile for them. I paid by credit card over the phone.

When the order arrived I noticed on the delivery note that they'd snuck in a delivery charge. When I queried it they said it was because suet wasn't free delivery.

They hadn't told me that on the phone when I ordered. The delivery charge was three times the price of the suet and the suet came in the same box as the bird seed so hadn't cost them any extra money to deliver. They failed to offer me a refund of the delivery charge or even an apology - just that's the system.

I was very uncomfortable with this sharp practice. Not the way to treat a potential regular new customer. I shan't be using them again.

By the way their bird seed was much more oat powder with less mixed seeds and a £1 more expensive than the Johnson & Jeff I buy locally.
