I saw the bags online - I think it's about £3 for a sack - I mix with their value clumping fullers earth type stuff (50/50) which is about 8kg for £1.50 or so. Whilst Oko plus & others are nice I prefer to opt for cheapest/good enough & these two do me very well. I only buy things like flea treatments, toothpaste etc online now - as I have better control of what I spend week to week (used to use zooplus for food & litter etc). When I continually found the woodchip out of stock instore - I contacted Asda & requested they stock more of it - I buy it instore now but got the price/info online.0 -
I just used petplanet.co.uk and had a really bad experience. I ordered six items, when they arrived one was the wrong one and I'd been sent an extra item that was nothing like anything else I'd ordered. I arranged for them to pick up the wrong item and the random extra and deliver the correct item - of course they sent me the exact same wrong item out again! The amount of messing around they did with couriers was ridiculous.
I later left an average review of one of the products I'd ordered. I was truthful, they were training treats and my dog just wasn't that interested in them, but I did mention that the tub they came in was very handy and I'd be keeping it for future use. I did try to look for a positive, and gave 3 out of 5 stars. But they have not added the review to the site. Instead they sent me a lengthy email asking me to contact them if I have problems with the product. I think this is dishonest: if a company asks for reviews I don't expect them to weed out the ones that are less than 4 out of 5 stars.
I certainly wouldn't use them again unless they were offering a substantial saving on a product I really wanted. The fact that they can't send out the right items and then expect you to wait in all day to swap them (and then send the wrong item again!) is just too much hassle.0 -

VioVet.co.uk have a special offer on Plerion5 small-dog worming tablets today.
Use the voucher code: SNOWMAN at the checkout.
They are selling short dated stock at 0.32 pence per chewable tablet.
Their normal price is £1.55 so that is 80% off.
I can't put links here (newish user) but if you visit viovet's facebook page there is a link to this offer.0 -
I've just went for 10kg of the Royal Canin persian from pet-supermarket using Quidco and getting another discount using their online offers for new buyers. So, under £40 for the 10Kg which I'm quite happy about.
Now, if only I could find some cat treats my bg girl will actually eat............Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Evening all,
I'm just about to take on another border collie rescue dog; I fed my last collie on Iams, but have been looking at other options. Has anyone any experience of First Class products (apparently made by Eukanuba), or Burns, both in the dry food form?
Burns seems pretty expensive at £3/kilo; my local chain Purrfect Pets have an offer on the First Class - buy 5 get 6th free, and the 12kg bag down to £29.99 (works out at £2.08/kg if you buy 6 at the offer price).
If anyone is looking for Iams, I've just done a trawl and the best deal I can find at the moment is with pet planet (stand fast the poor reviews I've read on here!), who are offering a 15kg bag for £31.99 with a free 3kg thrown in - works out at £1.77/kg.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. However I must say, I think this is a great idea.
I have used some of the above listed companies, however more recently I've used a company called PetFactory.co.uk
I think they are a relatively new company, however thier prices are very competitive and they have quite fast turnaround. Definately helps for people like me, who are ordering petfood when you've run out.0 -
I will give these a go...0

I have used medicines4pets in the past. Free delivery over £30, and cheapest I have found. Really quick delivery0
