No buying unnecessary toiletries February 2014

2 INS for me today:
IN #3: Radox Cherry Burst Shower Gel 250ml; Superdrug Strawberry and Raspberry one is almost gone and the boys don't like the Radox for men one I bought. £1 in Sainsbobs.
IN #4: Lacura Face Treatment Oil for Dry Skin 30ml; Still struggling with dry patches so I'll give this a go; I figured for £4 it was worth a punt!
I won't need anything else at all in February, so I reckon 4 INS in two months is pretty good going, I used to buy that (and more) most weeks!
ETA: UU #34: Superdrug Baby Cotton Buds, 200 WBA, perfectly fine, replaced with same from stash.0 -
If this thread has taught me anything, it is that OUTs are like buses - you wait ages for one and then three come along at once! I had three UUs last night/this morning:
Benefit Sugarbomb blusher - probably WNBA as although it was a nice colour initially it ends up going more peachy as time goes on which I'm not a massive fan of. Plus although the packaging looks beautiful initially by the end of it the boxes go very raggedy, which for the amount it costs doesn't seem worth it. I've got a Benefit blusher palette in the stash though so don't need any more for a while.
Batiste Paisley dry shampoo 200ml - WBA as I use dry shampoo fairly regularly and this one smelt nice and made my hair feel less greasy. Have a mini can in the cherry scent to use up before buying more though.
Benefit Total Moisture Face Cream - probably WNBA as although it was very nice and moisturising it was also a bit on the heavy side and I can get similarly nice products for less money. Have a Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream in the stash so won't replace for a while."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Finally caught up!
Welcome amberfinn53 :hello:
My UU from the weekend:
37. VO5 Smoothly Does It Frizz Free Creme 100ml - this was a magazine GWP, WMBA as did the job and imagine it's cheap
38. Sanctuary Body Wash 75ml - WBA, good smell and lather
39. Vichy idealia Life Serum 1.5ml - WMBA depending on price, nice texture.
40. Colgate Interdental toothpaste 15ml - WBA but prefer paste to gel. Only 3 more minis to go and I will have graduated in toothpastes (I don't count full sizes)!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -

Not sure I agree with you there. She was definitely more psycho than him! lolStill most pleased with most items in this Elemis goodie bag; although one of which I might just TA or GA before I start. OMG Frangipani Monoi Body Oil; whoa what's that all about? I put a couple of drops on my arm to test it out and the smell nearly knocked me out. No way would I ever want to be smothering myself in that stuff.
I think the Elemis oils are pretty much like Marmite. I like both this one and the Evening Blossoms (?) one however don't like the faff of having to remember to heat this one up to use it.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I don't need any cleanser but it is such a good price and cheaper than buying the liquid gold alone!
Decisions, decisions.
Off grocery shopping now so will see if it's still available when I get home.
Toodles xx
I smiled while reading your post as you sound like the sales staff on QVC quoting the value of the kit!! If it's good value to you in that you would use everything in the kit go for it. xThis is what I love about this thread
I love the smell of that oil and regularly smother myself in it :rotfl:
I find you just have to be careful that it dries before putting a pair of tights on!Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Hi folks, I haven't updated since January and to be honest I lost focus a little. I found a stash that I hadn't included and I was a bit fed up after spending two days making a list. I kept meaning to update the list but then found some makeup I hadn't included either and decided to hide from my list :rotfl:
These aren't ins as such, just stuff that I forgot to include on the original list.
I started with 362 products and I'm down to 329 so it's going in the right direction. I've found a plastic tub which I've stashed under the bathroom sink with all my current bits I'm trying to use up. I'm really lazy about doing the proper cleanse/tone/moisturise and so on as by the time I've brushed my teeth I just want to go to bed and all those bits waken me up. I've found that getting the tub out every morning/evening encourages me to use up all the bits and I feel like doing a little dance every time I get to chuck an empty in the bin.
I haven't been as focussed as I planned but I haven't bought anything since starting the challenge at the beginning of the year, except for stockpiling my shampoo and conditioner when it was half price. But I shan't count those bits as it's used up quickly.
I'm off now to update my list with the extra bits I found so I can get underway again without any excuses.Toiletries challenge - Start 362 Current 329£10 a day in Feb - £70.79/£2800 -

I would like to join if possible? I have just moved and unpacking everything made me realise how much I had!! So I'm going to try really hard to use everything up and only buy essentials!
Currently working on a body butter and body scrub from a gift set!
Welcome to the thread amberfinn. Sorry, I don't know that brand. I'm sure someone else will be able to comment though. xI won't need anything else at all in February, so I reckon 4 INS in two months is pretty good going, I used to buy that (and more) most weeks!
Well done. Sounds like you have had your LBM.
No UUs for me today. I did repaint my finger and toe nails last night however and am wearing French Connection grey (looks very similar to Leighton Denny Steel Appeal) on my fingers and Essie Midnight Cami on my toes.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Two INS, a shampoo and conditioner that I was sent to test.
I have a long list of skincare items on my phone that I want to try out, but I am determined to only buy them when I am out of all the skincare items that they would replace. At least it means that I am properly researching items rather than just buying them on impulse. No more goo hoarding!
