cakeadoodle - I remove my makeup long before bedtime when I am staying in and then when I go to bed all I need to do is clean my teeth.

I do this too, however I brush my teeth at the same time, stops me from snacking in the evening :D

Just caught up on 9 pages

Congratulations to the two ladies on there wedding news! How exciting. Hope poorly people are now feeling better and welcome to newbies.

I can't remember who said what but there were a few things I wanted to comment on! Someone said that they don't get on with REN products, I don't get on with them very well either :( found them really disappointing for the price.

I haven't yet read Gone Girl but it is next on my list to read! I was reading the thread and feeling worried that someone was going to mention what the ending was!! I will let you know my thoughts once I have read.

I really want the QVC TSV but don't have any money until payday. Saying that, I haven't tried the Liquid Gold before so might not be worth the risk of spending all that money for me. It does look good value though.

Well done to everyone on the resisting purchases! I still have not bought any make up this month :p My clothes spending seems to be back with a vengeance though. Must stop spending!!!

People talking about the frangipani oil - this might be a stupid question but does it smell like marzipan?

No UUs here, a few INS but all were needed and bought in poundland -

46 - Eye make up remover pads
47 - Eye make up remover pads - thought I would give these a go rather than buying a separate remover and cotton wool pads
    48 - Nail varnish remover

ETA - Wondercollie I hope you had a lovely holiday and that you are enjoying using your lovely satchel bag!
  • Hi everyone! 2 more UU to report:

Redken Extreme Anti-Snap - 75ml size that came in a set I took on holiday with me. It definitely helped keep my hair in decent condition with all the sun and swimming, but too much protein can damage your hair. Will probably buy some more for the next sun holiday I go on.

Rodial Daily Moisturiser - Another sample that came in a Birchbox. Hated this and definitely would not buy it. Strange smell and the texture was horrible too.
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000
    Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 2017

No not stupid, frangipane is like marzipan, frangipani is a tropical flower with a real exotic, heady floral fragrance - if you like gardenia and jasmine you might like it.

I had another UU from my PP list - M&S Ragdale Hall Spa Sugar Scrub 200ml this has been in the stash exactly a year since I first started recording my INS. Although it does what it says on the tin, I wasn't the biggest fan of this - too oily for me.

    1. BS Rainforest Moisture Conditioner 250ml
    2. Sanctuary Spa - Body Lotion 250ml
[STRIKE]3. Le Reve - Invigorating Body Shampoo 200ml[/STRIKE]
    4. Thursday Plantation - Tea Tree Face wash 250ml
    5. Schwartzkopf - Colour Protect Shampoo
    [STRIKE]6. Olay - Complete Defence SPF30 75ml[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]7. Elemis - Treat your feet cream 20ml[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]8. Clarins - Intensive bi-phase serum 15ml[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]9. Ragdale Hall - Spa Sugar Scrub 200ml[/STRIKE]
    10. Evolu - Facial Rehydrating mask 50ml

My bathroom is starting to look very untidy with a few bottles propped upside down and tubes cut open, so more UUs are there on the horizon.
    Mortgage
    Start January 2017: $268,012
    Latest balance $266,734
    Reduction: $1,278.45
  • I managed to complete January's PP list, so here is February's PP list...

    [strike]1. Clinique moisture surge[/strike]
    [strike]2. Vaseline night body renewal[/strike]
    [strike]3. Boots spa firming cream[/strike]
    [strike]4. Ted Baker Body scrub[/strike]
    5. Ted Baker shower gel
    6. Dove body lotion
    7. A'kin hand cream
    8. Avon curly hair serum
    [strike]9. Tova Signature Perfume[/strike]
    [strike]10. No 7 P & P serum[/strike]

I UU from my PP list - Ted Baker scrub in Butterfly Wings. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it on its own, but I did like the scent and would happily receive it as a gift or buy in a set in the sale.

4 items left on my PP list, 3 are splutterers so I may almost make it by the end if the month.

Off to catch up and then confess... :o

I applied for this ages ago and never received it either and whenever I've tried again since it tells me I've already registered!

Fingers crossed mine may appear but I won't hold my breath! :p

I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on with this. :)

I caved and bought today's Alpha H TSV. In my defence, I had only 12 hours earlier been reading reviews of the Liquid Gold and was planning a purchase, so it's kind of saving money..... I've never tried it before so I hope it's as good as it's made out to be! :)

You discovery box - Glamglow youth mud 15ml, pixi primer 12ml and Charles Worthington sachet £6.95.
On testing the glamglow was rather amazed by the results, and so took advantage of a code offer and got 12 sachets of glamglow masks for £13 which I don't feel is too bad really.

And then 2 QVC orders (Slaps hand). Bought the Laura Geller TSV, as I wanted to try the Balance n Brighten as my Mac StudioFix is radically decreasing. Love the BnB, the spackle is ok but don't think I wnba, the blush is too bright for me, but a decent product, and there is a lip product which is a bit...old for me? It's beige?! And there's an eye brush which is ok, and a kabuki brush which I actually really like. But the thing I really love is the eye pallette, oh it's lovely! I can apply a decent smoky eye, before I've had a coffee on my & 7oclock bus to work. Reckon the kit was worth it for the pallette and the BnB tbh. This was £17.93 this month and £12.98 for the following two months.
And then today I bought the Alpha H set. 200Ml liquid Gold, 15ml eye complex and 200ml balancing cleanser. Have been wanting to try the liquid gold as my skin is appalling at the moment (I tried the oil cleansing method and my skin has really not appreciated it!!). It was £37 for the liquid gold, or £31.56 for the entire set, so really I'm saving money (ahh, denial!).

    Hi Hammy,

Please could you elaborate on the Glamglow masks please? I've heard lots of good things about them so would be interested.
Also is the code unique to you, or can anyone use it?
If so, and you don't mind could you let me have the link please as £1 a mask isn't bad at all. Thanks.

I also bought the Laura Geller TSV. I use B&B anyway and I love the eye shadows. I knew the blush wouldn't suit me so that will be eBayed. I do like the liquid lipstick but personally I don't think it goes very well with the eye shadows, I think it would suit a natural look better. Love the brush and will sell the Spackle because I've got some champagne Spackle on the go and I'm not impressed with that.

I also bought the Alpha H TSV, mainly for then Liquid Gold because my 17yo son uses it too.

I don't know if any of you recall my post last month asking if you lose purchasing willpower when you are pre-menstrual? Well it's happened again! I didn't even realise TOM was due until it looked at the calendar today but these past 2 days I have bought, This Works cleansing pads (15% off), paddle brush, concealer, Real Techniques brushes x 2, Alpha H TSV and then today 2 necklaces and 2 bracelets in the Lisa Angel sale! Perhaps because I am not eating sugar I cannot have my usual PMT choc fest so I spend instead!
