I have a £20 Superdrug gift voucher via the Sun £1 membership, but a bit disappointed as it's 2 x £10 vouchers and it says that they can't be used together:( so that rather flumoxes my plan to buy perfume or something a bit expensive.
So, ladies I don't often visit Superdrug so what shall I buy?Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

If you wear make up, the MUA professional eye palettes are good but steer clear of the single shadows. I've also heard good things about Sleek make up but never tried it myself.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Evening everyone!
another couple of UU from me this morning :j
Mum roll on deo. WMBA when i get sick of sprays again, only have sprays left now.
Safeway Factor 8 sun cream 200ml (packaging said 1995 must have oodles of preservatives because no weird smell or texture, although i wouldn't rate its sun blocking ability) WNBA pick Higher Factors now my legs didnt seem to mind the extra moisture mind you. Another relic bites the dust :T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Kiwisaver i like the sound of the frangipang oil fragrence, shame i just saw the price tag too. Maybe i can sweet talk the other half with some home made foodstuffs.
Happy bubbles0 -
No not stupid, frangipane is like marzipan, frangipani is a tropical flower with a real exotic, heady floral fragrance - if you like gardenia and jasmine you might like it.
Ah ha! Thanks for clearing that up for me. I am slightly disappointed that it doesn't smell like marzipan :rotfl:
Asset I too would recommend the MUA eyeshadow palettes and I like the Sleek blush palettes, they are around £9.99 I think. They usually have a mix of cream and powder blushes too.
1 UU this evening -
34 - Benefit Triple performance facial emulsion - WNBA, was a mini in a facial care set that I received as a gift last year. Felt a bit greasy.
I am now really low on facial moisturisers, all I have left are a mini GWP Clinique one that is nearly UU and a Body Shop seaweed mattifying moisturiser. I bought this to use as a day time moisturiser but don't think it's that great, the mattifying primer I use is better and I can't use them both together as it gives that balling effect (I think that's what you call it!). Can anyone recommend me a good evening moisturiser for under a fiver that I can get in Boots?! Possibly a big ask but I would like to use my advantage card points!0 -
KT I also thought it would smell of marzipan!
Have you tried the Sleek concealer palette? I've heard good things about it. Not sure if my local Superdrug stocks Sleek though and I can't get away with buying make up at the larger store when hubby is with me! Lol.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I have an itchy, flaky scalp and use this stuff after washing my hair, I love it and it smells wonderful!
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Weleda-Rosemary-Hair-Lotion-100ml/dp/B000ORYF1OI think the Elemis oils are pretty much like Marmite. I like both this one and the Evening Blossoms (?) one however don't like the faff of having to remember to heat this one up to use it.
I hate Evening Blooms but love Frangiapani, each to their own!
I have a tonne of updates, apart from the make-up, all the INs were necessary ones.....
UUs
Elizabeth Arden Eight hour skin balm glass pot - Love this but not in a pot, prefer the lip balm sticks
Lancôme Softening Cleansing Fluid 50ml - lovely, didn't feel like I needed moisturiser
Lancôme Softening Hydrating Toner 50ml
L'Occitane Universelle Shower Gel 75ml
L'Oreal EverRiche Nourishing/Flowing Conditioner 250ml - Love it!
L'Oreal Fibrology Thickening Booster 30ml, L'Oreal Fibrology Thickening Conditioner 250ml, L'Oreal Fibrology Thickening Shampoo 250ml - I was sent these to test by Boots, not worth bothering with! Made no difference except to make my hair more tangled than normal!
Molton Brown Paradisiac Pink Pepperpod Shower Gel 300ml
Olay SPF30 day lotion 75ml - WDBA, winter HG
Philosophy Butter rum cake shower gel 480ml - too buttery and overpowering scent wise so WNBA
Sanctuary Hand cream 30ml - WDBA, HG handbag essential
Simple Foaming face wash 150ml - Prefer this to the No7 one
The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel 250ml - Very synthetic smell and very disappointing
GA
Bare Minerals Original Foundation 8g Light - Went off so quickly, turned from a nice shade to yellowish, might suit deeper tones so have given away to the women's refuge
Calcot Manor Gentle Salt Scrub 350ml - Horrid stuff, clogged the drain and left my skin like an oil slick so freecycled
TA
Tesco F&F Mascara 7ml Black Plum - great mascara but stuck to my lashes like glue

I have been using the Botanics Allbright night cream and think it is pretty good so far. It was definitely less than a fiver when I bought it although I'm sure it would have been on some kind of offer to get me to buy itNo more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

I caved and bought today's Alpha H TSV. In my defence, I had only 12 hours earlier been reading reviews of the Liquid Gold and was planning a purchase, so it's kind of saving money..... I've never tried it before so I hope it's as good as it's made out to be!
I dithered and dithered on the TSV and by the time I decided to buy it had sold out and gone onto wait list, so if it turns up all well and good, but I didn't really want yet another cleanser. I have ordered a 30ml of the Microcleanse which I hope will sort some lingering blackheads on my nose (not pronounced - but they annoy me!) from QVC for very little dosh. Will declare when it arrives:oThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
As expected, I got two of the 150 ml A!di Lacura Hydro-Urea Foot Cream, ah happy days. Lovely stuff and being A!di, a complete bargain at £1.99.
I was really lucky with the other thing I wanted which was the Lacura 30ml Face Treatment Oil. They must have had quite a few in judging from the space reserved for the boxes but only four or five of both the Dry and Sensitive formulations left. I got the Dry which is macadamia nut, sea buckthorn and argan oils.
I had a sea buckthorn eye cream that I was given to review by Amazon in 2012 which was really lovely but VERY pricey, well for my budget, so I was pleased to see this as one of the ingredients.
So total spend today £7.97, spend for the year so far £8.86, all A!di Lacura products so far. Next spend will probably be another pack of wipes, yep, A!di Lacura.
I see A!di was voted top in the Which Supermarket Satisfaction Survey, knocking Waitrose off top spot. Good.
Nothing against Waitrose but 'you get what you pay for' does not always apply there.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

I love the single MUA shadows! I use the matte dark brown to fill on my brows every day, and the matte cream shade as a wash over my lid most days too. I'm less fond of their shimmer shades but that's probably true of all brands. Isn't it funny how we're all so different?0
