OP's of £35k in 5 years is a major achievement - you can be proud of that

Just popping in to say HI

whilst I havent really been oping much these days I have still been nosey at the houses coming up for sale near me and making mental notes about how they look inside and what I like and dont like. I have been getting ideas for my kitchen and bathroom ad changing my mind about oping (as I am now limited to how much I can and have reached my limit until Sept) so thinking about saving for those rooms instead.

Having vast ideas about putting in double doors to the garden (but losing wall space) or maybe even more huge ideas of extending the kitchen out or even extending the d/s loo to make a wet room or shower room!! Looking at the prices of the sales around me they are quite different but sales seem to be on the up (although I wouldnt be selling for a long while.)
Obviously all dreams as I would more than likely move rather than extend here but definitely need to spruce the house up

  • No Ops still at the moment (apart from the standard OPs) as life is really getting in the way. We are on hols in the next few weeks and as I have told the TCs that I am not paying childcare anymore they have taken nearly double off me than what I told them I was paying. I will never understand how their system works!
Plus ex is still not paying his financial responsibility even though he is back at work. It is quite frustrating.

I am at £22k and only 2 years 3 months left :) If I had been OPing at the rate I have been for the last 5 years it would be under 2 years by now but hey ho. I am quite content. I thought I would be sad about not OPing as it is addictive but as I havent done it for the past 6 months really it hasnt bothered me. Plus I am a low rate and with a low mortgage I am not really saving much on interest now anyway.

Am sure your 'standard op's are still impressive ND. You really have done so well.
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Don't even know why i am writing on my thread anymore as nothing has changed, things are really tight at the moment.
One good thing of my MPs is that by the beginning of next year I will be on 18K, feels unreal since I started this at £90k.
My interest is below £50 a month! and I take off £830 in capital every payment. So it looks like it is going down quite quickly :) I have 24 payments left after October.

I can restart my Ops again this month (10% limit) which is a joke as I dont think I will do anymore this year, and 10% of £21k isnt very much anyway :)

Percentage of mortgage paid off - 76%
    LTV - 19%
% of OP target - a measly 55% :( (I am normally near my target by now)

Hope everyone is still plodding along OK :D

You are doing superbly ND :T, don't talk yourself down :naughty:
