    Evening all,

SFD number 10 today :) Went to the gym this morning and then walked the dogs this afternoon, so exercise is definitely done :)

I am in half term at the moment but have spent about 5 hours today doing school work :( so no more decluttering has been achieved today :( Tomorrow and Thursday I am intending on not doing school work and I am hoping to declutter the whole of the home office (in between gym sessions, walking the dogs and helping a couple of friends with a couple of errands).

I am also curious about Kat's evening with the archer? Tell all, please :)

Hiya thrifylass... OH's dad is a bit stubborn so I doubt he will change his mind. He is an absolute darling though. Very sweet but just stubborn. I can't see it changing due to us asking but maybe he will decide on something else by himself.
    :o

I need to keep reminding myself that he is only 60 once so we will make the effort. It will be nice to have a holiday with them as I don't see them very often (although I should, but work gets in the way).
    :(

We have decided that we will do a couple of weeks in the bongo in 2015 rather than actually holidaying abroad... which will hopefully work out cheaper.
    :)

Anyways... spend-free day number 12 today.
    :j

And another £600 off the credit card!!!!
    :j :j

Will let you know the results when the next bill comes in. It will probably be nasty as we are putting a holiday on it tomorrow. (it's the holiday with my mum, auntie and cousin in december... I will be given the money immediately and it will be paid back in March).
    :undecided

I would also like to hear about kat's archer friend.

Have managed to gain another 2 NSD and completed the challenge of de cluttering 28 items so far this month as have had a good sort out under the stairs. One very large bag to daughter and a bin bag full to charity shop plus lots of bits in the recycling bin.
Also found the receipt for diesel the other day and that is now added -

    NSD - 11/15
    Grocery budget - £71.52/£190
    Petrol budget - £80.38/£110
    Food Bank £1.50/£3.00
    De cluttered 28 items 28/28

    MARCH £62.38/250
  • Hello All :hello:

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement it has made me rethink my long term plan and get ready for the next challenge.

I think turning 30 this year  is making me think more about where me and OH want to be financially as don't own a house or have any proper savings so think its time i became a grown up !!!

I am going to aim for a SFD tomorrow as i am at work and coming straight home and staying in !!

Going back to WW on thursday as need to get motivated with my weight and hopefully this will kick start me .

Yes i would also like to hear about Kat's archer friend :)

    Have a nice evening all

Slap on the wrist time for me:eek:

A spend day as I needed a few bits and I missed a LTW day too. In my defence I woke up this morning with the headache from hell, if my colleague had not been off for some medical tests I would probably have phoned in sick, so I dosed up on pain killers and decided to buy lunch in work today.

    I will try harder.

Good news is I have finally got rid of the headache so back on track for tomorrow :D

As regards valentines day I probably had the most :money: as I refuse to celebrate it. I object to being told when to tell my OH that I love him and feel it's just a commercial scam. Luckily OH and I agree on this so it hasn't caused any problems, except for one year when after agreeing no gifts he gave me a cuddly toy which initially made me feel guilty but then I quickly responded by giving him an old key with a gift tag quoting 'the key to my heart'. He's never done it again :rotfl:

    See you all tomorrow

Evening, sorry I have been AWOL the last few days. I've had two Spend days, monday I needed to post fleabay stuff, today I took the kids to the forest and needed to pay for the parking. Tomorrow I am taking DD to the cinema then we are out for a family lunch as it's my birthday! We are taking full advantage of Orange Wednesday though AND this weeks spends are fully planned ;)

Saturday the children and I are having our hair cut, £25 for all 3 of us, *chaa ching*
Then DH and i are going out for dinner (with a gift voucher bought for us for Christmas) we are so excited!

I've done a forecast for the year allowing extra money a month for emergencies, and I'm feeling pretty confident, if we stick to our budgets then we will be fine. Seems hiding away the bank cards was one of the best things I have done.

It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world
  • Hmmm was not a SFD as I caved and bought mini eggs :naughty:

Other than that I have pottered around decluttering and cleaning.

Have gone through my inbox and deleted/filed all emails. Unsubscribed from those I'm not interested in. I have two accounts, one for mystery shopping and one for other stuff but seem to use ms one for everything. I check my email at work so I don't miss out on jobs but the others are distracting. Have removed personal account from phone and will unsubscribe from all non mystery shopping emails as they come in (if it's something I like I will sign up on my other account).

    Pay day tomorrow :T

  • Well a SFD today, and i took my LTW and then brought it home again, sent home due to horrendous cold, aching all over and my vocal cords have pretty much packed up (DH is thrilled about the latter) so will probably have a day in bed tomorrow.

Applemuncher have you visited The National Portrait Gallery next to Trafalgar Square its FREE and as well as the paintings they have plenty of computers to play on, my kids use to love it! Anyway have a great day.

    Hope everyone is well.

As I've already spent some money, I'll go and pick up milk after work tonight and also pop in to Sainsbury's and see what they have in their clothing sale as it's 25% off just now. I need some things for my holiday so might as well try and get them a little cheaper than I would otherwise spend ;)

By which it seems I meant "Spend £50" :o

It is free council tax month though so it's not impacting any of my budgets and, assuming they fit, I have four lovely new tops for my holidays. I also got 300 Nectar points too as I had a triple points voucher.

Working from home today so another SFD should be in the offing ;)
