Hey all. Seems like a lot of us have the mid month mehs. Spends here today (damn 12 pack breadbuns not lasting the week) but a yoga done as a compromise to myself for not going out for a run.
Hope everyone is safe and warm and dry still…

Hi all, positive vibes to all those of you who need them.
I have had a positive couple of days overall. I did spend yesterday (about £6 inb Lidl) but made some lovely muslie bars (new recipe which has been big hit in my house) think there are about 30 bars and would have thought the ingredients cost about the same as 5 muskie bars in the shops. Also made some chocolates and truffles to give to DH tomorrow (and enough extra that I have put some in the frezzer for a treat at some point later on).
Today has been a SFD, parked in a free area and walked on in to the office then had training 11-5. First time in about 7 years I have had lunch provided on training, and it was a really nice buffet style lunch finished with a massive fruit platter
While checking my bank accounts yesterday I decided to check were we are compared to the same date over the past few months and felt chuffed to bits. Payed towards the debts as soon as DH's wages landed on 31st and put some money (emergency/non monthly pots) into our savings account meaning we started the month a fair bit lighter than normal and yet we are over £100 up on any of the last 6 months for the same date :T :T Would love to stretch the money this month so I don't touch my wages (which are paid on the 23rd) until 1st March which may be a tad over ambitious but looking at the figures we do still stand a chance. Feel like it is something to keep aiming for but if I don't make it this month will be in a better starting place to try again next month!Debt as at January 2014 £13,546.84Current £11,485.15 - 15.42% paid - moving in the right directionDebt free date [STRIKE]Jan 2016 Dec 2015[/STRIKE] Nov 2015MMH 35 - SFD 8/15 FB 266.46/240 T-O 0/0 donation 3/£3 LTW 8/10 exercise 12/12 neighbour favour? mothernerc keep focused on Sunday and getting your fridge and freezer back. I definitely think that anything left in the fridge when he drives away is yours.

Hi all
Hope you are all keeping ok. Siousxie and crazy lady I feel for you, I hope you are keeping your peckers up and those floods wont cause too much damage to your homesWe should all do a sun dance to get rid of this rain we are having..
So another spend day today on some bits and bobs including a £50 check up at the dentist. I will probably need to have a gold crown to replace the one Ive had for donkeys years as the 'enamel' is starting to come off! And I'm sure that'll cost me a pretty penny
I have been thinking today about whether I can live without my car as its costing me about £1600 a year on fuel and maintenance which isnt too bad really.. I have considered a motorbike but decided it will probably cost more than my car so I have ended up looking into electric bicycles instead! I may well invest in one to get me back and forth to work which is a 14 mile trip.. I could charge it at home to get me 7 miles into work (bills are all included in my rent and wont cost me anymore in electric) and I could leave it charged in work during my shift to get me 7 miles home.. I have tried cycling into work before but it means getting up early so I can shower at work and I like my bed too much to do that on a regular basis
Im currently reading a book called Ausperity which is full of money saving tips and I rented it from the library for free
Back to work tomorrow for a block of shifts which is a godsend (means SFD!) as I am teetering on the edge of being overdrawn with only £4 to spare til pay day in 13 days! Its going to end in tears I know it will! But I enjoy a challenge!
Gonna get ready for bed now so I will bid you all goodnight..

Hi all, just checking in with 2 more NSD. Have took tonsillitis again, that's 2times in 3weeks
got another antibiotic which has kicked in so I'm not as sick as I was the last time thank god.
Ordered sainsburys delivery for 2moro as I had a free delivery code and a £5 off voucher so came to just under £70 but I have meal planned to the end of the month, have set aside another £10 for more meat in butchers and another £20 for milk, bread, fruit etc so will hopefully come in under budget
Ooh Kat a holiday home sounds fab! I will keep u all updated on the house building. We have finally saved enough to get electric ran to the site so that will be done in the next few weeks
Thanks for the link to the freebies kat I had a quick scan they look great, will have a proper read in morning.
Hope everyone is ok in that awful weather xxNSK April power shower #370 -
Yesterday was a NSD so taking me up to 8 however had to go shopping today and spent £22.29 - still well within budget though for now.
Think we may need some diesel tomorrow but this is already budgeted for so am thinking it could well be a SFD.
We have got away very lightly with the weather where we are. Just a fence panel down and a few hedges been ripped out near by. Think it said snow for us tomorrow but will see what we get.
NSD - 8/15
Grocery budget - £65.81/£190MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Hi All,
Just a quick post to say SFD and LTW today. Should be the same tomorrow as well :j
During my conversation with StepChange I was told that the shopping budget for 2 adults is £192 per month. This excludes any pet related costs. This makes me think that my old budget of £150 for 2 adults, 5 dogs, 3 chicks and a parrot is not that bad after all :T :T
If I can get it down t £130, which I had hoped to achieve this month, I will be more than happy. It may take another month or two to get there :rotfl:
Nite nite all

Hello folks,
Haven't updated for a few days as have had family staying, been watching rain come through my chimney/ plaster and various other bits and bobs!
To my shame, I've lost track of NSDs..... Have only been one or two since I last posted, BUT I have had lots of v low spend days, or been scuppered by the need for petrol etc. Anyhoo, I've not been up to the standard of many on here, but have done better than I would have without this challenge, so that's something!"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
