  • Morning everyone

Paid stuff this morning then voluntary job this afternoon so will be out all day. Have made tea and put it in sc so thats sorted. Need to try and do some hoovering upstairs at some point today.

Will be glad when its the weekend! Only 2 weeks till half term then I am having a week off, which I am so looking forward to. Right, need to move myself. Have a good day everyone x
  • Morning all - done nothing much at all this week :o - put all the paper piles back in the big frog box yesterday as couldn't stand them all over the place and it now looks no different!!! (although I have thrown loads)

Did find some accts from 1990 when DS was a baby - the two of us are now trying to manage on a food budget of less than it was then!!! - he was bfed so only nappies as extras!!! No wonder I am feeling a little stressed out and losing weight rapidly:).

Had lovely catchup with DF yesterday over my hm cake - so hopefully today will be better.

Decko - I needed to grieve for late first husb when I found he had passed away aged 57 - and we hadn't been together for 32 years. Be kind to yourself and take your time - the right time will come and you will know when that is. xxx

Love n hugs to all and have a good day.x

    Morning all

Sorry I didn't get back on last night.

Valli I hope DD had a lovely birthday in spite of her Dad.

Decko I'm glad you are feeling a little better, if does sound like you are about to take a big step forward, I wish you luck and keep posting

Sad that it has been 3 years since Diva left us but so happy we had her for a while and that we all remember her in purple and for me her love of her cats.

Due to walk with my friend this morning but it is raining so I'll text her in a minute to see if that is still on.

I need to go to the shops again today and I want to get a bit more done in the dining room, my plan was to finish it whilst DH was away in the US but I'm not quite there and he is on his plane home right now! Where have those 2 weeks gone.

Reception Room (Living Room/Dining Room/Conservatory) Declutter
Imagine how you would like the room to be at the end of the week.

Rehome anything which does not belong in this room to its correct place (if it doesn't have a home then this is part of your problem, you need to find it one or question if you really need it ). if there was a nodding smilie it would be inserted here. my prob is definately more stuff than space. i have vowed not to buy more wool or cross stitching stuff till ive used up what i have and because we have a small kitchen the ironing pile/basket is stored in the lounge so if its not kept under control it can take over unless hidden in one of the rooms upstairs.

I managed to muster up enough GUAG to get to work; I was asked to clean the daughter's bedroom (usually the door remains firmly closed), her mum had piled all the stuff from the floor onto the bed so I could get in there.   Suffice it to say, I think the girl could give your DS2 a run for his money, Mumto5, I complain about my kids' mess but this was something else.

Got home and munched a frog -- TWENTY SEVEN MINUTES on hold was taking the pee.

Thankyou for sympathy re: my unhappy bladder :p I went into the docs and asked for an appointment and it's in a week and a half's time; ergo useless. Sounds as though our doctors run to similar schedules, LW :(

DH out banging his pots again tonight so I will be having a big shower and getting my jypamas on around 7.30, hoping a good sleep will make me feel a bit more human.

Right, sitting here won't get the ironing done. Laters xx

I suffer from recurrent UTIs - if I ring the surgery I ask to be put on the nurses list. The receptionist asks what the problem is (I can usually hear them wince when I reply). The nurse will ring and is happy to prescribe a/b's without seeing me (never have been sure how I feel about that - but when in pain and running I will happily accept it if someone else can get me the prescription.) If I have had 2/3 in a run she will slot me in to an apt and I have to take a sample in.

it's a system I can work with (though I still miss our old GP who didn't do appointments - you just turned up and waited)

Also if your surgery are really being 'unhelpful' could you try a walk-in centre?

Right - I'm finally in! Love hugs and posivibes to all who need a plethora of sticks for those pesky black dogs.

I have no excuses not to fly like a trooper today - DD1 is out training in her job and DD2 has gone to work and is then going on to the funeral for her work colleague. I hope it goes well for her, DD2 has been massively affected by this.

I will be at the flylady meet at the railway museum - it is on Sunday 2nd isn't it?

Bossy - have you sorted out which P&R it is that you need? Any problems please feel bree to message me.

Sorry to hear you can't come Pigpen - was looking forward to meeting you at long last, especially after my daughter's efforts on my f/b page yesterday.

Just finishing my cuppa, then washing, washing up, ironing etc. Better get dressed....

    Morning all

Hugs, sticks, spoons and coffee/tea & calorie-free double chocolate cake for all :)

Didn't get much flying done yesterday. I was working until 10pm, but took 2 hours off to go to the shop/takeaway, eat, tidy up and talk to DD. Some little 'barstool' spat on her as she was going down the stairs on the bus home so the first thing she did when she got in was wash her hair. :( If it had been me I probably would have gone back up the stairs, found out who it was and probably done a lot worse back to him. :o She can't even report it as she doesn't know who it was but the bullying is starting again, all except one kid who is being really nice to her when he was the worst, but it could just be DD being hyper-sensitive due to AF and getting herself a little worked up/nervous with her dads wedding in just over 2 weeks. I don't think she's had any counselling since she went back to school, so I don't think that's helping. I can't wait for half-term to be over as I'm getting my head bitten off just for looking in her direction and if I ask what's wrong its even worse. :(

After DD asked me to, I wrote out a set of instructions on how to wash up from sorting the dishes out to wiping down the sides afterwards and the past 2 nights she's managed to get all the washing up done properly :j I actually came down to a clean kitchen this morning except for DD's breakfast dishes! She said its much easier to do now she has a list to follow and is happy to ask if she's not sure about something. :j

I've decided to leave errands tomorrow, the forecast is for heavy rain by lunchtime and temperatures that feel sub-zero. I'll do a Mr A shop to top up milk/sandwich stuff after making some before-school deliveries and then fly ;) Hopefully I'll only have 1 delivery hanging around after today (someone who doesn't get paid until next week) and I'm hoping to get the new books (which don't go out to customers until the 20th Feb!) sorted and away today instead of them sitting in a pile on the floor. I'll do the errands Monday if the weather stays dry. ;)

    Thursday:
    - Paid stuff (finish prep books, school, books out, deliveries PM, prepare next lot of books)
    - Tea is SC (beef in ale?)
    - Change my bedding
    - WMx2

    Personal:
    - Email (log into work email online and sort, personal email to sort, follow up anything needing action, do surveys etc)
    - Log into school website after finding parent log in info (add log in info to diary reference page) chase up any log-in problems asap.
    - Sort out lists to laminate (time management plan for 3 week schedule)
    - Shredding?
    - Sort this years birthday card list out (Double check there's no 'special' except DD turning 13 & Nephew 1st)
    - Errand list for [STRIKE]Friday[/STRIKE] Monday (bank, card shop, supermarkets?)
    - HH photo sorting. (Yes, that Cane toad is back on my list )
    - Vacuum through downstairs (post shredding!)

I'm off to have a quick bath, change my bed while it runs, and then label up the books to go out today and put them out to customers. ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

I have just PM'd everyone that I know of who said they would definitely or possibly be coming to the Flymeet. If anyone else wants to add themself to the list, would they please PM me asap.

I have refilled the bird feeders: it is snowing here :snow_grin The Garden Gang are going great guns and on the final stretch now. I shall be glad to get out of the house without having to jump over piles of pavers or tiptoe round soggy sand :D

Lots to do on my list today, including assembling my new compost bin and setting it up near the back door.

I also need to bake a cake for DH tomorrow - we're going to visit DS2 and his family, so I won't have to worry about DH eating too much of it: they will happily accept whatever is left after we've all had a small slice ;)

    Must fly....
