I've been very brave. I have mucked out DS2's bedroom. It's taken me 3 hours. His school work was EVERYWHERE. Floor, desk, chest of drawers, bedside table, on the bed and under the bed. I've put it all in a bag for him to sort out. I have 5 loads of washing not including his bed sheets. Why are teenage boys so disgusting. 3 carrier bags of sweet wrappers, empty biscuit packet, banana skins and apple cores.
The waste bin was completely empty so I've taken it out and put it in the littlies room. They put rubbish in a bag tied to the door. He's got the bag now.
My cleaning cloths all need boiling!
Still waiting for the phone call from hospital.0 -
You are brave, DS1's bedroom is the largest hugest frog that I don't even look out of the corner of my eye at. One of these days, I will just do it - not think about it but do it, but until that day, I clear off the first layer of muck, change the sheets and hoover/dust what's visible.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I managed to muster up enough GUAG to get to work; I was asked to clean the daughter's bedroom (usually the door remains firmly closed), her mum had piled all the stuff from the floor onto the bed so I could get in there.   Suffice it to say, I think the girl could give your DS2 a run for his money, Mumto5, I complain about my kids' mess but this was something else.
Got home and munched a frog -- TWENTY SEVEN MINUTES on hold was taking the pee.
Thankyou for sympathy re: my unhappy bladderI went into the docs and asked for an appointment and it's in a week and a half's time; ergo useless. Sounds as though our doctors run to similar schedules, LW
DH out banging his pots again tonight so I will be having a big shower and getting my jypamas on around 7.30, hoping a good sleep will make me feel a bit more human.
Right, sitting here won't get the ironing done. Laters xx0 -
RIP Moneysaving diva and condolences to djtwingo
Deco you've had lots of good advice here, please see your GP, you never know unless you ask. I agree about the winter thing. There's no sunlight. Check on your vitamin d intake - it's linked to low mood - and impossible for the body to make enough when its so dull all the time. You can get supplements and its in eggs and fortified margarines and cereals I believe. I know we're in different circumstances, but if you want to chat I'd be happy to send you my phone number - losing your life partner really knocks your confidence and does affect the rest of your life. Your whole belief of your future is challenged, and as new feelings and realisations crop up it casts doubt - again knocking your confidence.
My last suggestion is, can someone else have a look round at home and advise if all the DIY jobs are really necessary. If you are selling, buyers may want to decorate to their own tastes, so maybe you are putting undue pressure on yourself?
Anyway, we're all here rooting for you X
I have done bog all flying but finished paid stuff for the week. Mushroom curry on the go, off to collect my small people!

Have given the bathroom a good sort out today. Tiles and grout all cleaned and washed down. Rest of bathroom cleaned. I am having wet wall fitted in the shower on Saturday. Will be easier to clean than tiles and grout.
Living room hoovered, dusted and paintwork done. Will do books and CDs on Saturday while workmen are here. Kitchen blinds been refitted. Kitchen been S&Sed.

No flying today, although I did plug the new computer into the old printer and bless it, it recognised it straightaway without any discs or settings to fiddle with.
Felt stupid and frustrated at work; had listed a few things to do in between my 2 students at 10am and 4pm. At 3.50 I checked my notebook and the 4pm is TOMORROW so I wasted nearly a whole day. So cross, although I did manage to do the things on my list which might otherwise have drifted.
Came home, had a bit to eat then went to belly dancing!
All surveys up to date.
Not at uni work till 1pm tomorrow; could do gym on way but it would be nice to sort out the final things in the office - OH rearranged his office and has passed on several books and files which were actually mine so they are now on the floorRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
There are some really kind people on here, very humbling and inspiring at the same time.
Been another manic day. Been working on both paid jobs until 7.30pm, then swished the kitchen and washed the floor. I have a feeling that DS2 hasnt done his homework which he is not supposed to leave until 9pm at night.
Havent got the energy to argue with him right now but if I dont move he will be on that damned xbox until 10pm. Sigh.0 -
small rant alert
DD is 18 today.
She has heard NOTHING from her dad; not a card, not a text. not a FB message.
She's rather hurt.
Perhaps he will turn up with a card on Saturday but that will be 3 days late.
remembering DIVA who left us 3 years ago today. x
Oh! Just checked the last few posts and Diva's OH has been 'in'. Sorry to be so late posting this - been out with DD but you were in my thoughts.

Thanks Dusty, Pigpen & Ladies. It was a U for Physics, E for Biology. He got a D for History (Russian revolution paper was a. I have asked what the other students got. There seems to be a wide range so it doesn't seem to be the teaching is the problem.
TV stand dusted
Towels washed
Sofa throws washed
Zumba done
Dancegran checked up on
School trip meeting attended (Switzerland beware)
Ground floor henried
DS2 had severe meltdowns this evening. It looks like I will be ringing the paediatrician in the morning.
Even Miss Muddy Paws was up to mischief this evening. She opened a drawer in my room and emptied the contents. Not sure what she was looking for.
Hugs to Deco x
Glad the wax bath has helped a little LW x
I have popped on to the candles site I couldn't find Toots' page.
Happy 18th Birthday Miss Valli DD x0
