When you're on a roll, you're *really* on a roll :j:j:j
Keep going on that energy supplier! I joined Martin's club this time round, got a new deal with my existing supplier at £10 per month cheaper, supposedly, plus the cashback deal.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ooh, that's good KC! I confess I didn't even look properly at Martin's email as I knew I was locked into a fixed price thing and was happy with supplier...
However, now they've annoyed me and everything's up for grabs :rotfl:
Off work on Friday so will ring again and inform them that I will indeed be investigating my options for switching if they don't at the very least send me the pesky information booklet!0 -
Quiet all day then a spate of posts altogether
I must confess I have a magazine subscription. I do enjoy it though. Anyway they take £9.97 out of my account every 3 months. It's easy to miss a smallish irregular payment like that, and I expect that's what has happened with your sister's magazine.
Oh dear you are not having luck with your energy supplier are you? Hope you get it sorted soon xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
G'morning Cheery
,
well done on that spate of actions, in a spooky parallel, I've just cancelled my subscription to a mag. Whilst a pretty good deal over 12 months, I often dont get the freebies due to Royal Mail postal restrictions and to be honest, now that I have my simplified minimalist wardrobe ... I do not need to be tempted to buy new clothes, shoes, bags, beauty stuff on a monthly basis :rotfl:
Good luck with sorting out new energy supplier
ETA : aha now I've gone and joined this energy club thingymajig and looks like I could be saving some coins tooso thanks for posting about that !

:hello: hi all
very jolly to see you
Yep starnac, very easy to miss odd irregular payments! however i'm currently goig through a spate of intense bank watching so nothing will get past me now...
Magazine subscriptions can be ace, i've loved this one for years, originally bought by a lovely pal :j but i'm paying way over the current 'new subscriber rate and they're getting a bit samey after years so for now, it goes.
Done a bit of Christmas shopping in Leeds today on the way through. Few things for Mr Cheery plus other bits. Work secret santa limit was £3-5 and people were moaning it was too hard to find things for that little, but I managed to get two things for a grand total of £1.74 :money: bern hanging round here for too long! :rotfl:
Al anon tonight, not been for a couple of weeks and missed it. And tomorrow we're off to the cinema again with these pesky Groupon vouchers - they run out on Friday and I don't think we'll get chance to use the last one unless I go on my own on Friday afternoon! That's the last time i buy one of those!! :rotfl: :rotfl: Still, we paid £20 for 5 tickets so even if we only use four that makes them a fiver each, still cheaper than normal! :j
Think I slightly overestimated how muh we go to the cinema...although we've been twice to the independent cinema that you can't use the vouchers in during that time! Mr Cheery was an extra in a film so i figured we'd definitely go to see that but t's only on at the independent cinema too :rotfl:

So.... where are we?
Film last night was ACE and I have accepted we're not going to use the last cinema ticket today - that still makes it £5 per ticket which is better than the usual! :j
Went busking in town today with a pal :j We said we'd be happy if we got enough for a cuppa and a mince pie each - we made a total of £1.51 between us :rotfl: :rotfl: Including a donation from a man who appeared to be homeless and who said he'd not heard the song we were playing for years and who sat listening to us in the cold for a while
So I shan't be handing in my notice just yet :rotfl: :rotfl:
Been arguing with the budget - tedious internetty connection reasons meant it hadn't synced between laptop and phone since Wednesday evening I had one lot of stuff on phone and another on computer and had to do a bit of fiddling aboutSorted now though and back to doing it every single day! :j
VERY excited to be off work for 17 days :j :j :j Popping to see a friend tonight, musical things and more friends tomorrow, two Christmas parties and a bit of a wander round York on Sunday, and then not much planned at all :j
Paid on Christmas eve apparently - getting all excited about doing the new budget :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Got 8 days of free software left before I need to buy it if I want to carry on - given that I've probably spent a couple of hundred quid less than usual since using it (about 5 weeks) I think I might just go ahead! :rotfl:
Right - hot water bottle and Harry Potter for a couple of hours I think :j0 -
Hello Cheery! Good things have been happening, and continue to happen, from the sound of it, excellent stuff
The really important question, however ... which Harry Potter?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I ended up not watching Harry Potter at all! :rotfl: Got the Order of the Phoenix recorded off the tv the other day and fell asleep while watching it the other night so there's that to watch :rotfl:
I have actually got all the dvds somewhere - but at the minute that 'somewhere' is a rather elusive 'somewhere' and neither of us can find them... :rotfl:
Decided to walk to friend's house this evening - it's probably a good hour each way but I'm feeling rather un-exercised at the minute so it'll be nice to get a good bit of fresh air since I'm not in a rush! :j
(suspect I'll regret it when I'm walking home at 11pm though :rotfl: )0 -
Well I DID walk there and back (an hour each way) and I DIDN'T regret it - although I did get rather blown about and a bit damp!!
Banks done :j
Final festive flutey outing today and I've got one or two more presents to pick up (we're at a Christmas fair) and then that's it! :j
( I hope :rotfl: )0 -
Enjoy your Christmas fair. We are off to a Christmas party later so very excited kiddies no doubt!! I'm sure I'd rather the Christmas fair! :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
