Cheery's buttling diary: tea in one hand, plant pot in the other, running shoes on

I did indeed tell them honestly
Particularly liked the 'did we leave your house as we found it?' question rofl
Tried to walk to station this morning but just couldn't get up early enough - Mr Cheery gave me a lift instead so £1.70 saved :j
I've got 2 journeys at this end left on my 20 trip bus ticket - and i'm coming here twice more before Christmas. So my aim is to use those trips for thr morning journey, and walk back to the station in the evening.
Then over Christmas the plan is to fix foldy bike and buy a decent front pannier thing so i don't have to carry laptop in a rucksack - that way I shouldn't have to use the bus at all at this end :j
However, because the weather is likely to be vile for a bit, i'll top up the bus pass with another 20 trips when it's reduced to £15 and they should last me a few months :j :j0 -
I like the idea of a buss pass you top up with trips. Haven't heard of that before just "weeklies" or "monthlies"Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

It's perfect fir me starnac, since i'm only there a couple of days a week a weekly one isn't worth it. These never run out either! They're only with one company though, and only on one route - which is fortunately the very one i need
Not seen them anywhere else!

Had bill from plumber - £55, not too bad at all considering he saved us from having a new boiler fitted! :money: :j

This guy's brill KC, really taken with him. Really good company too and reads Gas Fitter magazine, which is what you want with a gas fitter
Last day of care home fieldwork today, and i'm both extremely pleased and also a bit sadLove this final lovely care home, and I've spent the whole day in a sensory room with their Christmas tree
Nothing much going on moneywise today, paid for some stuff on expenses so need to claim that back, and just had to pay for a cuppa myself as the till roll had run out so no receipt
Spent the entire day munching chocolates i'd taken to share with the staff but they didn't want any... :rotfl:0 -
Could they have not written a receipt on a piece of paper? Lots of places used to do that for us when they didn't have till roll (the ice cream van for instance)
"Gas fitter" magazine? Sounds like a guest publication on Have I Got News For You :rotfl: I wonder if my FIL ever read that? You know being a gas fitter himself? Best stop laughing
Eating chocolates sat under a Christmas tree? Sounds like the best day EVER!!!!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Hope you liked the choccies2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I did enjoy them although now feel a little queasy...
:rotfl:
They could have written a receipt Starnac and he did offer to - but it was only £1 for a cup of tea and I needed to catch my train so I decided I could probably manage to pay for it myself :rotfl:
I love a good special interest magazineParticular favourite has all been Canal and Riverboat
but our local natural history society newsletter comes a close second
Got home and Mr Cheery's new band is practicing in the kitchen so I grabbed hot water bottle, tea, and potato cakes with gooseberry jam and am now munching them sat in bed in my nightie:j

Morning chums :hello:
Banking done, and 86p transferred to VSP :j I'm round it down every day so it's adding up and is currently at £32.18 :j
Also got paid £94 in expenses yesterday :j So have immediately allocated that to pay for a weekend away I'm going on in January :j Got another £60 to come, plus what I spent yesterday (although what I spent yesterday is already recorded in new budget system - the £94 and £60 were spent before I started this, so somehow feel like 'extras') :rotfl:
VERY pleased to be off work today :j Feel very much in need of a rest. Going to sit here and drink tea in my dressing gown for a whilethen finish knitting present for cheery pal's baby, then walk to the gym for a spin class, then to friend's house to meet this baby :j
Other money related things to do today...
* ring ISA people to get myself re-set on their internet banking system after I logged myself out before I'd even logged in
* put note in diary to cancel gym membership once January payment goes out (it was a compulsory 3 months)
* check when magazine subscription ends - I *think* I'm going to cancel this too
* check if I'm still paying magazine subscription that I got for sister's birthday a couple of years ago
* sit down with Mr Cheery and diaries - we've still got 3 cinema tickets to use up in the next 7 days! :rotfl: :rotfl:
* pop to supermarket for provisions for cheery festive do on Sunday - got some small vouchers for various little bits we needs so remember to take those! :j
incidentally, one of the vouchers is for 25 extra points when you spent £1 or more on bananas :rotfl: Might leave that one at home :rotfl:0
