Only occurred to me today that I'd forgotten about the most persuasive argument - the damn phone works FINE everywhere OTHER than in the house, so it couldn't POSSIBLY be the phone!! But somehow that didn't occur to me :rotfl: :rotfl:
However, all has transferred over without problems today :j :j :j and I now appear to be the proud owner of a working telephone, although I won't believe it til I've actually made several calls from various points in the house :rotfl:
Also occurred to me that I haven't been writing down spends so far this month...Will just find my diary....

Hope the phone really is working - that would be nice, wouldn't it!
Spends ... we're waiting you know **taps foot quietly** :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
oh, yeah :rotfl: got a bit sidetracked
:rotfl:
And today I'm having a *slight* sense of humour failure (again) - stupid internet/router shenannigans, painter claiming paint was shoddy so I had to return it to the shop, resulting in me being ONE minute late for the spin class I'd booked, and someone had nabbed my spot so I couldn't get in!
Could have stayed and run on the treadmill for a bit or something but instead I burst into tears (once I'd left the room...) and came home for a hot chocolate
Trying to deal with some comments from reviewers on a journal article I wrote 6 months ago and only just got back, which is probably NOT the best activity when you're already in a vile mood :rotfl: My favourite comments are 'generally well written but the use of short paragraphs means the article sometimes lacks coherence' and 'this reads more like an academic research article...'
Er, YES, that's because that's exactly what it *is*...
*sigh*
Just piecing a few bits together to add - certainly not going to be sending it back today!!
Nice clear night for fireworks0 -
Oh Cheery! Poor you
hot chocolate sounds like a nice antidote - something like that, after wodges of protein, really goes down well for me.

Hello
Been avoidin popping in here as I now can't remember what on earth I spent at the start of the month and everything has got a bit out of hand!
Still, i have now bought TWO Christmas presents, so that's something at least :rotfl:
Damage limitation from now on I think! :j0 -

Thanks
Have at least just booked myself a docs appointment to see about my hips and shouldersBeen feeling like I've been sinking into my hip since before the marathon and can't figure out if walking or sitting still makes it worse! And now shoulders have joined in - probably because posture is so bad, desk at home is NOT right at all, and I carry loads of heavy stuff round with me all the time...
Hips I could probably deal with, although it stops me running sadly, but constantly hurting shoulders are driving me potty!
Fortunately managed to get an appointment tomorrow morning, half an hour after my blood test (just annual thyroid checkup, nothing else going wrong!) :j Best take a book to read if I'm going to be in the docs all morning :rotfl:0 -
Ouchie
yep, we really don't realise how much we use our shoulders till we can't ... its been shocking how much that tiny little day op on my shoulder incapacitated me
hope you can get it sorted with the simple stuff like a new desk and posture practice. And if you need to have a trolley, you can get a really cool one, not a granny one like wot I've got

I get a pain in my shoulder after a long run. When I had a massage with a physio after my half I mentioned it and he said I roll my shoulder in when running. I think it's the weight of my phone in an arm band around that arm. I'm using it as an excuse to put a gps watch on my Christmas list
