Thanks fannyadams
Good suggestion
I promise I'm not too daft about weight loss
as soon as my flabby tummy goes I'll stop, as I have done before
At the minute it's definitely not muscle :rotfl: :rotfl:
And our gym is NOT sophisticated - the scales are the old swingometer type! :rotfl:
New phone arrived today :j which is good, because my old one has been randomly posting nnnnnnnnnnnnnns on facebook and other forums :rotfl: Just trying to swap contacts over without having to write them all down - I'm getting there but sim card won't hold them all at once so I have to keep swapping, saving, deleting, swapping, saving - it'll be a miracle if I don't lose some
Ooh, and I had a message from the MSE badger saying I've got a new badge for having been here for NINE YEARS  :rotfl: :rotfl: Dread to think what I was doing 9 years ago - probably pretty much the same as I am now but in debt :rotfl:
(oh, and purse is entirely stuffed with receipts as I have neglected YNAB and the bank this weekbut we're not thinking about that tonight - priority is sorting phone out!)

Afternoon lovely chums :hello:
Well I am all sorted with new phone now, all relevant apps sorted and numbers switched overand I had a big receipt sort out on friday (although I now need another one after the weekend)
Had a lovely couple of days :j had Friday afternoon off to drive over to mother's and then go to a party with a couple of old school pals - the three of us haven't been in the same place for about 16 years  lovely to catch up :j then a local produce market with mum, a long trafficy drive home, painting in the bedroom (and a nap) and out to another party :j
Tired today:rotfl: but I got inspired by a load of my sister's cast off running mags and went for my first run since about June this morning :j Just 25 mins but it wasn't as hard as I expected, looks like I've kept a reasonable amount of fitness doing other stuff :j Did some "hill training" (just a very gentle hil but I ran up it five times!) As a reward there was a rainbow on my last ascent :j :j
Now I've had a grumpy shower (too many paint pots and brushes in the bath with me) and have done a second top coat on one of the bedroom walls - another thing to tick off the list :j :j
Just having a cuppa then going to paint the bathroom windowsill :j and then we'll have to nip out as we've just used last off milk  and need to get some wood to replace bedroom windowsill.
Hope you're all goodlist is getting crossed off but not as quickly as I'd like
:rotfl:

Ha, this will make you laugh -Mr Cheery just took thebedroom windowsill off to replace it which gave us a good view of down the back of the radiator...
.... from where we fished out SIXTEEN pairs of fancy knickers:rotfl: :rotfl:
I was wondering where they'd all gone:rotfl: :rotfl:
Can chuck out some of my grim holey ones now - it's like I've been on a shopping trip :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

On second thought...DON'T!!!

No interesting way RT - hung them up to dry, left them there for too log and then knocked them off with the curtains :rotfl: the usual slovenly way
Why, how do YOUR knickers get behind the radiator?! :rotfl:0 -

Goodness, I didn't realise it was quite so long since I'd popped in!
Had a jolly week mostlyBeen at a conference for work which has been most thought provoking. Absolutely boiling hot, and of course now it's the weekend it's raining
Oh well
Also been neglecting banks/YNAB, so just spent half an hour catching up and had to put £20 in the 'budget fiddling' category as I didn't have receipts and couldn't remember what I spent it on  My own fault entirely of course - works much better when I do it every day!
Today's plans are PAINTING and MORE PAINTING - bathroom windowsill (although, hmm, possibly not - I'll have to leave it open and the rain will drop onto my gloss!), and cladding in the bedroom (gianty giant ladder  )
Then I'm planning to cycle along the canal to the next town to do some musical things in a church there - not something I usually do so quite exciting - but I do VERY much hope it stops !!!!in raining in the meantime! (if it doesn't I'll go on the train but i would really like to get a bit of cycling in, and it's a nice flat ride which is rare round here! :rotfl: )
Car booked in for MOT on Wednesday - what I think is the glow plug light has been flasing a little lately and we've been losing power a bit, so don't really want to drive it too far before then. Hoping it's nothing serious, I can NOT face goig through the rigmarole that buying a new car seems to have to involve in this house
Anyway, best crack on, done nowt but YNAB this morning so far
Hope you're all good0 -
I've missed your cherry posts. Glad you popped back in to catch us up. Exciting about the music playing. What instrument do you play?Overprepare, then go with the flow.

I play flute Mila - not very often mind you
One day I'll get back to it a bit more... for now I just take the opportunity when it arises and fits around everything else
Well, needless to say my DIY plans went awry for various reasons, but I did manage to get a few things done :j
Having a relatively relaxed one tonight thoughCooked us a nice tea - very excited to have discovered green lentils in a tin
:rotfl: Something I'd NEVER bought as I'd always figured it was cheaper to boil them up myself - but then I rarely did because it took so long :rotfl: Of course there's the slow cooker - but our slow cooker has been in a box in the cellar for months now
Anyway, T@sco now sells green lentils in tins for 35p :money: In fact, maybe they always have and I just never noticed:rotfl: but I am hop-skippity over the moon about this and am going back to stock up very soon
Hardly breaking the bank with 35p for the protein portion of a decent and tasty dinner I don't think, so I shall let go of my residual guilt about not cooking my own green lentils (I still do with red ones) and enjoy these ones in salads and stir fries galore
Mr Cheery's off out in a bit so I might sit down in front of the tv with my knitting - it's been SUCH a long time since I did any  Finished the first sock of a pair in June :rotfl: I'm on to the foot part of the second one so at this rate they might be done for Christmas :rotfl:0 -
35p is positively bargainacious Cheery - well done. Are they their own brand, or d'Aucy, merCHant Gormoo or someone like that?
