    Thank for the c0-0p tip Cheery!

    We pass by a very dodgy one every evening on the way home from the train station, but don't normally stop there!

    Methinks that for reductions that are that serious, we'll be ignoring the dodgy and scouting the shelves!

    Yep, get yourself in there RT! :j :j

    I just do NOT know where the evening has gone :eek: I was home before 6, and all I've done is had my tea - I didn't even make it! :o :rotfl: :rotfl: Part of the problem is Mr Cheery gave me half a glass of fruity cider to drink with it - now my legs are all tingly and I don't know what's going on :rotfl:

    Anyway, I did have a list of things to do this evening :D except I can't really remember what was on it :rotfl: :o :rotfl:

    * hoover attic and stairs (we're sleeping up there now but plaster is trodden in from everywhere else!)
    * washing (and hang up)
    * hoover bedroom (maybe - it's now covered in paint shavings as well as plaster and wallpaper - urgh!)
    * spend an hour working on diploma write-up stuff (fat chance of that now :o )
    * print postal vote application form! Need to post tomorrow!

    Right, will start with washing, then postal vote, then report back :D

    Ha :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Needless to say, I have not yet done a single one of those things :o:o :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Got sidetracked down a slightly half tipsy internet rabbit warren and didn't move til 10 minutes ago, when I realised what time it was :eek: Far too late to be washing and hoovering now :o Have put washing in basket by the machine to go in tomorrow morning, and have opened postal vote form to print when I go up to bed :rotfl:

    Have also opened diploma document and written a paragraph, which I guess is better than nowt :rotfl: :D

    Oh well :o That'll teach me not to drink with my dinner! :D

    Not going to do anything tonight either :p

    Mr Cheery has a gig - I wasn't planning to go, but bizarrely he drove past as I got off the bus, so I got in, and then he booted me out half way down the road when he realised I was only going because he'd driven past :rotfl:

    Bit of a spendy day today...

    Lunch with old work pals £3.80
    New jeans £12 in BHS sale
    Cheery ride on bonkers high-in-the-air chair-o-planes ride :D £6

    That was it I think, not too bad :D Been planning the chair-o-planes ride all the time it's been here - not got round to it yet and it leaves on Monday so pleased I squeezed it in! :j :j

    Here alone this evening but not going to kid myself I'm going to do anything useful. I've made (and eaten) some food, and have put some washing on - that's it :D Going to sit in front of the tv with a cuppa and my knitting now :rotfl:

    Well! :j :j Just popping in with a small triumph :j :j

    Instead of flopping on the sofa as I was EXTREMELY tempted to do, I dug out the Flylady crisis cleaning podcast (I may well not have a mother-in-law who's about to arrive in an hour, but I can barely take one step without falling over something and everything is SO covered in plaster/stripped paint/dust sheets/ boxes/ assorted other crap that I don't even know where to START with cleaning up) :o :rotfl:

    Anyway, 15 mins in kitchen, 15 in living room, 15 in bathroom and house is starting to feel mildly like a house again :D Obviously we're a world away from an *actual* house and will be for some time :rotfl: But...

    * the sink is clear and shiny
    * all dishes are put away
    * stove top is clear and clean
    * fronts of cupboards are wiped (not inside the cupboards, of course :rotfl: )
    * table is wiped (the bit of it that isn't covered in boxes of screws, allen keys, drawings of the bedroom etc)
    * kitchen floor hoovered and wiped
    * recycling and rubbish taken out and compost
    * living room floor is hoovered (didn't take long, there's only about 2 square feet that aren't covered in boxes :D )
    * under sofa cushions hoovered
    * living room and kitchen have had a cursory wipe with a feather duster
    * kitchen windowsill wiped down
    * bin lid cleaned
    * bathroom cleaned
    * bathroom bin (overflowing with DIY rubbish) emptied
    * bathroom floor hoovered and wiped
    * washing put away and next lot hung up

    :j :j :j Not bad at all for less than an hour :j :j Couldn't have done it by myself though :o Might need to do the whole thing tomorrow, and the next day, and then we might start getting somewhere :D :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Definitely going to curl up with my knitting now! :rotfl:

    That sounds like aerobic cleaning! Wow! It does feel nice when there is more order and less crumbs.
    Overprepare, then go with the flow.

    It was pretty aerobic Mila :D Oddly enough, the whole place doesn't really seem to be any cleaner today...

    Had a nice day today :j Me and Mr Cheery decided to go out for breakfast, so I found us a new cheery cafe :j I had 'porridge and fresh fruit' as that' what I'd normally have :D and my eyebrows raised at the £3.75 price tag :eek:

    However... goodness me it was nice :D I make a pretty spartan porridge at home with just oats, water, salt and sugar :D but this was like some ludicrously luxurious superfood :D Must have had cream and brown sugar in at least - and there was an ENORMOUS bowl of it - Mr Cheery had some of it too and we still left half the bowl.

    And I got an entire glass bowl full of cheery fruit too :D Redcurrants, blueberries, kiwi, watermelon, orange, all kinds of things. Bit more posh than the apple I usually chop into my own :D

    So that was nice :D and then we went to one of the railway cycling trails in the peak district and cycled 10 miles with a stop for another cuppa in the middle :D

    A quick whizz round the local charity shops, and somehow that was the entire day gone! :eek:

    Got the evening to myself now though, so another plan...

    * put first top coat of plaster on chimney breast by bed
    * second coat of top coat
    * eat tea (currently in oven)
    * clean up all plaster-related debris from bed platform area (there's a LOT of it...)
    * 15 mins tidying in kitchen
    * 15 mins tidying in bedroom
    * 1 hour on diploma work

    That's it :D

    More plastering on the landing tomorrow - but the bedroom will be done after tonight :j :j

    Also need to do YNAB too, and a blog post, but might leave those til tomorrow, we'll see...

    Cheery you are flying through the plastering now. Well done.

    Well done on your HM too. You'll have to train for the next one to beat your sister ;)

    Thanks Starnac :D Although I accidentally got my tea out of the oven before plastering even started so I'm not sure how much will get done tonight :o :rotfl:

    Not going to bother with the training - she's well outpaced me now so I might as well just give up :D :rotfl: Although I have plotted a cycle route that will take me 10 miles to get home from work tomorrow! :eek: Very pretty though and a good workout :D Going to try and do it a couple of times a week through the summer - getting me fitter in case I have to cycle to work from the new house :D :rotfl:

    Are you training for another one??
