Cheery's buttling diary: tea in one hand, plant pot in the other, running shoes on

Ok, Mr Cheery is out and while i would love to spend the evening plastering, I think I'll save that for tomorrow and focus on numerous pottering bits that need doing...
ERRANDS - 6.50-7.45
* pop to work to pick up sports bra and leggings for race (idiot!!)
* pop to Wickes for board adhesive and bonding plaster
ADMIN - 7.45-8.15
* text friend re letter I haven't sent her yet
* check train times for tomorrow
* ring mum re staying over tomorrow night
* email ebay seller re sending tri suit back (shamefully I may have left this too late!)
HOUSE - 8.15-9.30
* hang washing up
* restore some semblance of order to house (possibly truncated flylady home blessing)
* shift stuff on landing and bathroom so I can get straight on with plastering tomorrow
ME - 9.30-11
* have a nice bath
* finish off knitting sock and start next one
That's probably quite enough for one evening:rotfl: :rotfl:

Whoa! That's a lot of money saved so far on the plastering. Plus, there is just something so soul satisfying about learning a new skill and then doing a job well. Good for you!!! Seeing such progress must be very motivating.
You sometimes make my head spin with all that you accomplish.:)
Hoping for good sunny weather and a slightly cool breeze for your race.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

I reckon that's a pretty successful evening actually! :j :j Have also sanded down the wall I plastered yesterday:rotfl: and am now making a list of stuff I need to take with me tomorrow - don't want to forget my race number!

Right - this is NOT the nice early productive start I anticipated...
:rotfl:
Hey ho, I have a plan:
10.40-11 - pack stuff for half marathon
11-1 plaster bit of chimney breast
1-1.30 tidy up
1.30-2.30 - make and eat lunch (packing leftovers for tea on train)
2.30 - walk into town
3.15-4.30 - buy headphones and a jumper and wander round the food festival
4.40 - trainready, steady... GO

Hmm, so much for that list
:rotfl:
Taken me this long just to find all my stuff, and vaguely get my act together! :rotfl: Clearly not going to start plastering now!! :rotfl:
Am nicely up to date with YNAB now though :money:0 -
Evening all :hello:
Can't believe I haven't been in since Saturday! :rotfl: Eventually I left, had a nice evening with mother, and then did the half marathon on Sunday  Was SO not prepared :rotfl: Sister took over and beat me by 37 minutes:rotfl: She deserved it though!
Had an internet-free day yesterday and did some more plastering, and then yet MORE plastering this morning :rotfl: and an afternoon with a friend
Just had an unusually fruitful reduced co-op trip :j :j Only popped in for some chick peas and their reductions are usually rubbish (eg £3.50 reduced to £3.17), but today... I got
3 jars of Bonne Mamon (or however you spell it) blackcurrant jam, £2.39 reduced to 29p
2 jars of co-op finest marmalade, £1.49 reduced to 9p
chocolate sprinkles reduced to 7p
And a couple of reduced pretzls and a cucumber, but they were normal crappy reductions :rotfl:
Woman was trying to offload more jam onto me - she said 'we've got LOADS of it!' but they only had 3 out so I just had those as she was about to go back to the stockroom to get more. When I got to the til the bloke said 'I've been putting stickers on that jam for 4 hours!' :rotfl:
He reckons they're going to have LOADS of reduced stuff in the next few weeks as they're rebranding, so keep an eye out folks! I'm pretty sure I've seen those fancy jam jars go for more than 29p empty in charity shops before now :rotfl:
Right, just knocking up a quick curry and while that's bubbling away I'm off to sort out YNAB, not done it since Saturday although have been quite diligent about entering things on the phone app!0 -
Hmm - Mr Cheery came back and was SO excited about co op reductions (he's in charge of food shopping and is bargain hunter extraordinaire) that we're now back at the co op again... :rotfl:
I made it quite clear that I didn't want to come back! :rotfl: but somehow I was caught up in the excitement and ended up in the car. Came to my senses by the time we got here though and have refused to go into the shop :rotfl: :rotfl:
Forgot peanut butter reduced to 49p too but you can probably get nicer stuff in aldi for less anyway :rotfl:
Trying to peek through window to see what he lands up with...0 -
My OH gets excited about serious food reductions too. Especially if it's meat!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Ok, this time they'd brought out the Bonne Mamon marmalade for 15p a jar... so we now have 5 jars of that too  :rotfl: and some lolly ice things (39p, just one box of those), and some 'ordinary reduction' reduced potatoes. So not too overboard! :rotfl:
Been doing a bit of end-of-month YNABbing - seems I knocked out the budget by going on the train to the race the other day, and also we spent £123 on cladding yesterday too  All accounted for now but I've had to do a bit of rearranging of the virtual envelopes...0
