:rotfl: Made me laugh too :D

Just heard today that they don't think nan is safe to go home, so they're trying to sort a care home :( Been offered a place at one but it's not on a bus route, and since her two remaining brothers (in their 70s) and my dad don't drive... it'd be down to my auntie to ferry everyone around. So they're exploring options for a different one. Not sure how she'll react but she's been in 3 different hospitals since Christmas and seemed perfectly settled in all of them so hopefully will continue the same way... All a bit sad though.

Not much to report money-wise. Not convinced about the tea situation at new job - at old job it was all paid for by work :D :money: although I hear on the grapevine that won't be lasting too long... This place just started a kitty - 50p a cup til everything was paid for, then £1 a month. Currently spending £5 a week on tea so I flipping hope all the upfront stuff will be paid for soon! If not, then I suspect some folks are cheating... :rotfl:

Still, if that's the worst of my financial troubles... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Impressed with how easy it is to avoid the cafe at work :D I can see it when I come in, but never have to actually walk *past* it, and it's down 2 flights of stairs so quite an effort :D Mr Cheery doing a sterling job of making me a packed lunch every day :D

Been to slimming world - lost the 2lbs that I put on eating croissants in Belgium last week :o :rotfl:

That's about it I think! :j Ooh, and I think I can get some kind of discount card through work that will allow me a discount on train tickets :D Must investigate tomorrow as I need to book tickets for London in early March! :j

    Evening chums :hello:

Completely forgot (again) to order discount card at work  Have just written it in diary for tomorrow so I don't forget again! MUST get those tickets ordered at the weekend!

Just done my yoga session for the day. I was SO stiff last weekend it was quite scary actually  Done half an hour of yoga (using free youtube videos) the last 4 nights though and already feeling much better. My posture is utterly appalling :o so working on sitting up straight and not slouching too.

Having said that, I'm also full of cold :o Got through today's unavoidable busy-ness and meetings at work with a combination of cold-and-flu tablets and glycerin throat pastilles :o but now I have hot water bottle, tea, and a lolly ice I found in the freezer from last summer to soothe my throat :j :j Off to curl up on the sofa with a nice film and my crochet :j :j

    Hope you're all good :D

Ooh, and estate agent left a message today saying they had someone interested in coming to view the house   Er, we haven't actually signed up with you yet and we did say it wouldn't be ready til the end of March but clearly they're keen :rotfl: Or perhaps just reminding me they exist :D :rotfl: :rotfl:

Will ring tomorrow and tell them the entire place is full of boxes and plaster and paint and they can't come! :rotfl:

(maybe we're being daft and should just let them but it kind of feels like we should finish what we've started, and I'm sure we'll get more for it if it's not in this ridiculous state!) :D
  • I hope you are feeling better soon Cheery. It's a bit bad of the estate agent to try and get you to have viewers if you haven't even signed up with the and put the property on the market. Don't be pushed into anything, but weigh up whether it is worth the hassle doing the work or whether you want to put it on the market now and get on with the move

Awww Cheery hope you are feeling much better today!

U Tube Yoga sounds really interesting - it would have not even crossed my mine that this would be a place to find free exercise videos - clearly parts of my life have not be properly MSE'd in a while!

Cheery - definitely don't be pushed by the Estate Agent Agenda - we had one value OH's mum's place last year (just to get an idea mind you) and they have not left us along since - yes we will sell the place at some point - but it has to be at our own pace!!!!

Ha yes indeed both of you! Was planning on ringing this morning and telling them to sod off but I am SO full of cold and grimness that I can barely speak so I don't think they'd understand me :o :rotfl:

I'd not thought of youtube for exercise videos either until someone suggested it but there's all sorts on there! I'm using Yoga with Adriene, a free 30 day thing with a video each day (and loads of other videos too) but have a nosy and see what takes your fancy!

Meant to be taking afternoon off to meet a friend but feeling SO rough I'm thinking of cancelling or at least trying to get him to come to my house... at least that'll save us a few quid I suppose! :rotfl:

Cheery put in writing to the estate agents that they are not instructed as yet - otherwise they may try to take it down the line that you have an agreement when in fact, you haven't. Definitely better to be safe than have a battle down the line on this sort of thing, they wouldn't be the first to be a touch crafty I'm afraid!

Hope your cold lurgy grottiness eases soon!

Bleurgh, another day spent entirely on the sofa barely eating  most unlike me. A friend texted this morning wanting to come round and I had to say no

Did actually manage to have a shower and get dressed about 4pm but thats been my major achievement of the day :o :rotfl:

Hoping I'll start feeling better tomorrow or at least regain my voice as this is getting a bit silly! :o

  • Hope you feel better soon Cheery.
I haven't got dressed yet today, have the start of a cold and a headache, but I decided this morning I had lots of computer work I needed to do, by not getting dressed I could avoid the running around and just get on!!
