Surely wages in mean a new spreadsheet and therefore new categories? :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

it certainly means a reallocation of money to the same categories!
:rotfl:
Although I'll allocate it as 'money for January' so it won't show up in any of them til then :rotfl:
Tiredy tired here. Thought neighbours had all gone home to parents but they woke us up at 4am slamming the door, running up and down the stairs, putting music on and SHOUTING conversations at each other over the music
In the past I've given them a couple of hours grace before I go round in my nightie, but I confess I was SO cross that they were making a noise right when I thought we'd have a few days free that they had less than half an hour before I marched round thereI'm afraid I wasn't quite as nice as I normally am either, and didn't apologise, just said 'WHY are you shouting??' and informed them that I'd be bringing some mince pies round this morning so we could have a proper adult sober chat about how to sort it out.
I did say 'it will be nice to talk to you when I'm not in my nightie' :rotfl:
Just making mince pies - goodness only knows what we're going to say when we go round! I confess I've lost patience now, but I'm not very good at being stern, and I've had such disturbed sleep I might just cry at themMr Cheery is definitely NOT cheery and might actually throttle them
Christmas fun and games!
Goodness knows what we'll do when we try to sell this place. I suppose technically there hasn't been a 'dispute' - no council, police, letters or anything, no nastiness, no name calling, nothing like that - they've made a noise a few times, and have been polite and apologetic and turned it down every time we've asked them to. So perhaps we'd not need to declare it - but I confess I'd want to know if I was buying a house next to them...
Ah well, that's not today's problem. Today's problem is trying to figure out what to say and trying to resist the urge to lace the mince pies with laxatives or something :whistle:0 -
I would have gone round really early this morning :rotfl: although I think you may be doing things the worng way around. They make a noise, they keep you up but you are making them mince pies???? They should be making them for you! I think you are being very generous!
Is it rented? Is it worth speaking to the landlord? Or at least threatening to?Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
I want them to understand just how nice I am, and how lucky they are to be living next to me and not someone who would have rung the police several months ago :rotfl:
(and also, I will need some sugar myself to get me through what is likely to be a rather uncomfortable conversation... :rotfl: )
And I might have gone round really early but I want Mr Cheery to come with me and he's fortunately still asleep at the minute - no way am I waking him up!
Tis indeed rented, and I've got the owner's name from the land registry but it lists next door as their address... Think I've figured out which estate agents they rented it through though so yes, I will ask them what they intend to do about it, and tell them if it happens again I'll be writing to the landlord.
But then it officially turns into a dispute I suppose...
Yawn
However, given the state of our house, it's likely to be sold to a developer anyway sadly, and they won't care, and then they will sell it legitimately saying they've never lived in it, so it might not be a problem anyway. Who knows. As I said, can't solve every single problem in the future today
Will concentrate on not burning the mince pies:rotfl:

But as it's rented if you speak to the landlord (which would be a dispute) would it then be a dispute if they move out and new neighbours move in? The landlord may decide not to renew their contract or they may decide they don't want to live next door to the crazy lady who calls round at all hours in her nightie :rotfl: :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

I wouldn't have thought it would still count if new people moved in!
I've been hoping all year that they'd decide that, but it seems they don't mind :rotfl: My friends have suggested I should start getting dressed before I go round :rotfl: :rotfl:
Mmmm, mince piesMight have eaten them all before Mr Cheery wakes up at this rate!
 :rotfl:

Maybe you could send Mr Cheery round in your nightie?:rotfl::rotfl:

Well I'm sure that would scare them!
But instead we took round a plate of mince pies, demanded a cup of tea (using the last of his milk, like he'd used the last of my patience :rotfl: ) and stayed for a good 45 mins explaining EXACTLY what we can hear and EXACTLY what madness sleep deprivation and stress drives a person to:rotfl:
Felt quite sorry for the poor lad - the other two weren't there so he had to listen all by himself :rotfl: He's going to tell the rest but also bring them round so we can all get to know each other a bit better - and so we can give the other two a nice gentle ear bashing too:rotfl:
So all sorted (for now, at least). Looks like they're planning to move somewhere with more space in about March anyway. who knows. At least we'll get a bit of peace over Christmas :applause:
Just wrapping Mr Cheery's presents :j :j Very jolly :j :j0 -
Merry Christmas cheerful chums! :hello:
Hope you've all had a good oneWe had two gloriously quiet and peaceful days by ourselves here :j :j doing pretty much nothing :j :j Then a day with Mr Cheery's family, and today with mine. All good.
Quite ready for a nice sit down now mind you :rotfl:
Been quite nice not to go near a shop for a few days either! :j :j Except the petrol station this morning, but as I didn't buy anything other than diesel, that doesn't really count :rotfl:
Got to leave the house tomorrow, meeting someone for a cuppa in the morning but it's at Waitrose so I'll use my free one(do you have to buy something now?! Don't think I can stuff in any more cakes!! :rotfl: )
Anyway, need to go away and have a good think about new year plans, which mostly involve moving house and figuring out what to spend new salary on(suspect the first one of those will swiftly take care of the latter mind you... :rotfl: )

Afternoon all :hello:
Well, I have take a small action this morning - put my brave head on and rang an estate agents  :rotfl: They're the people who sold the house over the road, and the owners said they were pretty good, so figured we might as well start there. The bloke at least seemed knowledgeable and interested on the phone, so that's a good start :rotfl:
Someone's coming on Monday to value it and talk to us about what's worth doing and what isn't. So while I was planning to start painting today, I might not bother :rotfl:Plenty of other stuff to do!
Suspect we'll be sold as a 'project' as it's not even been rewired for 30 years and the boiler is older than me, kitchen from 60s (not in a good way) etc :rotfl: Which might mean it's not even worth sprucing up the paintwork or plastering the bathroom - might be as well just leaving the whole lot.
Which could well mean it could go on the market a lot sooner than we'd thought
Frightening  :rotfl:
In other news, I'm just making the world's biggest pan of carrot soup as we got two 10p bags of carrots yesterday and already had a giant pile anyway - just wondering what else I can lose them into :rotfl:0
