Cheery's buttling diary: tea in one hand, plant pot in the other, running shoes on

Cheery - this may be of no interest to you whatsoever, but i'll just lob it in as a conversation piece
DP cycles during the summer months. I noticed last year, that the additional energy expenditure made him lose weight rapidly. So this year, I am determined to try to provide an extra cereal/energy bar in the snap bag to counteract this. (I remember maddiemay mentioning her DH could eat any amount of Memorygirls's ginger cake, because he cycles a lot). Anyway, my point being, I've started to collect cereal bar/energy bar recipes in order to do this - I must ask EH about it too. So some recipe links may well start appearing on my thread.
This will only be of interest to you if you decided to go down the 'bake your own' route, but I just thought I would mention it

Ooh Greying. I would be interested in that too. DH cycles to work 12 miles away every day. It would be nice to give him a treat.
Cheery I love how you posted a chocolate bar through the letterbox of a friend. That is so lovelyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Hi Cheery,
As you say you are posting here because of wanting to be more aware with spends so that is working
Looking forward to hearing how you tackle the 'overspends' as it is something i struggle with too
Have a lovely weekend

Mr Cheery doesn't like the new car... I'm leaving it up to him to decide if we part exchange... I've bonded with it now
But it *is* a rattly old shell of a van-type thing, which isn't really what we were looking for!
I could indeed batch cook cereal bars - although I confess I'm also good at batch-EATING home cooked goodies and have therefore shied away from doing this...:rotfl: While I'm sticking to Slimming World I'm also sticking to things I can have as one of my 'healthy extra' choices and they're pretty strict about what you can have for that, so will investigate (I know, I know, but as I have decided to go with it for the time being, I'm not going to start bending the rules or thinking about them too hard - that's how I end up cheating and not getting anywhere!)
But yes, cheery cereal bar recipes would be aceThank you both
Don't think there's anything to declare yet today, quite shocking!!
Did remember I spent £10 on knickers and don't think I confessed it the other day though:rotfl:
80p on a packet of fruit pastilles yesterday morning - spent other stuff but from joint treats budget so doesn't count
Going to consider £2 coin budget for running stuff, and also work travel budget for taxis after long days - that shouldn't be coming out of my fun money!
Gosh, might even make my first NSD of March today! :j :j0 -
I know *exactly* what you mean about batch-eating of stuff you've batch cooked :rotfl: I'm hoping my shiny new halogen oven will help with that. Its a lot more efficient than the manky old range stove that hardly works, and it only cooks a normal dish - as I say, I live in hope :rotfl:
So sorry to hear Mr Cheery's not bonded with the car! Thats a tricky one, and when you keep them for a long time, it really matters.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend, and beautiful weather to go with it :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks kc, hasn't the weather been gorgeous!
running and a lovely bike ride yesterday, and watching a friend in a ballet performnce, all fun :j :j
I did indeed manage a NSD on saturday! :j :j :j
Not yesterday though... :rotfl:
£2 tea on bike ride
£10 slippers for mr cheery
£3.50 socks
£10 ballet tickets
£2.50 ballet tea
£2.50 quorn burgers and choc0 -
I noticed the friend's ballet :j
£10 for two tickets is great! Just shows there's mad differences on the cost of living - room rental for small organisations! I went to see a friend performing in a local choir, same sort of thing, they were doing it in a church hall, and the tickets were £12 each!
It was good tho :j and there were some lovely hangings in the hall.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
not that much of a difference kc, £10 was just for one ticket
twas for charity, and was a good evening's entertainment!
Not much today, been on fieldwork all day then we bought some veg etc to make tea at my mum's house - spent £15 but actually office pal paid for it, and migt claim it anyway, so, er, gosh, have i just had another NSD?? :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
