    :hello: Hi starnac :)

Goodness me, have I really not been in here since 4th June?! No idea where the time has gone!

Well, I know where some of it has gone, of course :rotfl: workity work, a couple of friends staying (separately, on separate nights), a gig, several cups of tea with pals, a fair bit of running, a few meetings - and an entire evening spent listing all the things I do outside of work and how I can get rid of a few of them before I get to 70 without having made time to move house  :rotfl:

Really, I have no idea how we'll do it if I spend NO time on making it move forwards. Obviously Mr Cheery is doing stuff, but I've been tracking my time this week and I'm just forever off out, switching tasks 'oh I've just got to reply to this email/go and see so-and-so/ do this for such-and-such'

I actually counted how many I'd emails I'd had in a week from the community allotment people - 17, and the same the week before  I don't have to reply to all of them, but they're just there ALL THE TIME, eating into my subconscious, being lovely but ever so slightly passively disagreeing with each other about where to put the rhubarb, and whether so-and-so should help us put the polytunnel up and what we should give him in return...

I'm afraid I got to the point where I didn't care :o and my decision to leave was nicely rounded off by receiving five emails that very evening with people disagreeing about the procedure for admitting new members - we only WROTE the damn procedure about 6 weeks ago and it's CLEARLY WRITTEN in the bloody minutes for everyone to see! :rotfl:

    aaannnndddd bbbrreeeeeaaatttthhhheeee :rotfl: :rotfl:

So I've announced that I'm leaving, and been met with 2 unsurprised emails, and one just saying 'bye Cheery' :rotfl: So much for being missed!

So that's a weight off my mind, and I'm now casting about to see what else I can drop :rotfl:

Glad to see you back. I was getting worried. The forums have been very quiet recently with quite a few people MIA.

I love your idea of tracking your time. This is something I've been looking at doing. I've downloaded a workbook to "simplify my life" :rotfl: sounds sad doesn't it. Anyway I've spent the last 3 days "unsubscribing" to all the spam that arrives daily in my inbox and I still haven't done it all I don't think.

 to all the allotment emails and disagreements. I think you may have done the right thing leaving. I am assuming by the 2 unsurprised emails that you may not have been entirely happy there for a while. Hopefully you will have a weight lifted now.

    Thanks Starnac :)

Well, I'm shocked to find it's been an entire week since I've been in here! Where does the time go?! Well, I know where it goes now, as I've been tracking it all week :rotfl: :rotfl: I can tell you that the biggest portion goes on *work*, and travelling to and from work, and that quite a lot goes on the daily business of cooking and eating and getting dressed (quite a revelation - I never allow for this in my calculations of what I can get done in a day, which might explain a few things... :o :rotfl: )

Funnily enough, I spent less than 2 hours on housework in the entire week, and that included doing the YNAB stuff every day :rotfl: Yet another indication of why my house has not yet been featured in Country Living magazine... :rotfl:

Anyway, here I am, and I have nothing much money-wise to report, which is probably no bad thing :j I've reduced our energy direct debit from £85 to £80 :j as we're still nearly £300 in credit after the winter :money: Not worried about that as they pay 3% interest on credit balances which is twice as much as the ISA :rotfl:

And I FINALLY got round to accepting that my latest camera is, in fact, lost :o I suspect in the house... but we're in such chaos I haven't found it and I've been using my crappy old one (which I HATE) for 6 months now  So I shelled out £40 of my £2 coin money for an upgrade from Ebay :j :j Cheaper than I bought the last one for, and a few models better :j It came without a charger or leads, but I already have 3 chargers from the last 3 cameras I either broke or lost :o so that's not a problem :o :rotfl:

I ADORE it (and also, it's bright pink, which might help me not lose it quite so quickly...) :o

Nothing much else to report! :j Had a new IUD fitted today so feeling slightly sorry for myself this afternoon :o :rotfl: (not sure that's moneysaving, but I suppose it was free and costs far less than accidentally ending up with a few children! :rotfl: ) Might treat us to a takeaway tonight to reward myself for the indignity though :D :rotfl:

(sorry, hope you weren't eating your tea!) :rotfl:

    Ay up Cheery :hello:

I just popped by to say a huge THANK YOU for the advice that you gave recently about property matters. During our *staycation* we got the paperwork all sorted. It was filli-fied, signified, cross-signified, identified, stampi-fied and sent-ified. I've had notification today that there has been *activity* on my account, so I assume that, having giggled over dreadful pictorial representations of the self, HM staff are pretty sure that they'll be able to sign, seal and alter the deal :D

I never would have realised how straightforward it could be if you hadn't mentioned it :D

    Thanks love!

Excellent news Greying, well done you! :j :j :j Ours was pretty straightforward too once we got going - so glad we've both managed to finally get round to it! :D

Which reminds me, I still have to notify the lease people - I know exactly where I filed their address (well, the address they had about 10 years ago anyway!) :rotfl:

Apologies again for absence - I've been rather feeling sorry for myself all weekend after this IUD business - lots of pain for quite large chunks of the weekend, including up at 4am both Friday AND Saturday mornings  Most exhausting. Copious amounts of painkillers consumed, much time spent on the sofa with a hot water bottle and my crochet (so something good did come of it all after all :rotfl: ).

Tis alright at the minute, but then it's been alright for a few hours at a time all weekend, then gone painful again... I'd planned to go to the office tomorrow, but instead I'm going to work from home and ring the clinic, see if they'll just check everything is ok. This is the 4th one I've had fitted over the years and it's never been this bad!

Ah well. Still managed to go to two bonfires on Friday night, and a flute choir concert/workshoppy thing on Saturday, and have tea with my friend and pop to a local mini festival to see a band :j Come to think of it, perhaps I should have taken it a bit easier than that... :o :rotfl:

Oh, and I've finally finished grouting the shower too :D :j

Heading back to the sofa for a bit now :D

Good heavens, it sounds like you should have been *glued* to the sofa, Cheery! Hope the pain's eased off now - mine is starting to ease, from the molar extraction, but it was a rather big tooth ... take care.

Oh dear. Gentle hugs to both of you. I would ring the clinic Cheery. Mine was a little uncomfortable but not painful. Hope the pain subsides soon for you. And you KC.

Ooh, a gentle hug to you KC, tooth pain is vile :(

You're probably right, sometimes I do need gluing to the sofa :D Mr Cheery does his best but I don:t always listen to advice :o :rotfl:

Been down to the clinic, everything seems to be where it should be - apparently it can just take 2 or 3 months to settle down  Hopefully those months won't all be as bad aa this weekend!
