i'm posting this here because I mainly read DT under another name, and I know there are a lot of knowledgable people here.
until recently DD has been a normal child, worked well at school, didn't get into trouble and so on.
but in the last 6 months she has been getting detention after detention, skipping classes, being late even though she sets off at the same time as usual. she has admitted that she has started smoking, and drinking, and I'm worried that she might soon experiement sexually.
she is only 14 and I and at my wits end, I have stopped her pocket money, but a 17 year old boy keeps giving her money, I have grounded her but I don't get home from work until 2 hours after she leaves school, so cant enforce it properly, and have no one else to look after her.
I have t\lked to her about it, and she says its because she wants to fit in. I've told her she doesn't need to do these things, but of course I'm ancient and don't know anything about what its like at school accordingly to DD.
any advice would be really appreciated.

her form tutor is in as much despair as me. she has tried everything, soft and tough love, but nothing seems to work. her head of year even threatened her with expulsion on Friday and she just shrugged it off.Jojo_the_Tightfisted wrote: »Have you spoken to her form tutor?0 -
