Morning to all. Hugs to Sarah and her sister. Such sad news, reminds me to not sweat the small stuff, there's people with real heartbreak out there

Sat here inside watching the pouring rain. Waiting for my neighbour to come round and walk Alfie. All those times I sadly put on my waterproofs to go out, now I'd love to be able to get out. Haven't left the house since Friday, miss getting outside, but loving all the time to be MSE!

That did mean I had a row with OH. I've spent my time off looking in detail at various bills/ outgoings etc checking we're on the best deal. The type of hting I've been meaning to do for ages but rarely get the time. Anyway, came to a head with the BT bill, its all fine but my OH had sorted out the account and took my checking as a criticism of his decision. He snapped at me 'you're just obsessed with saving money!'

And that brings me in a roundabout way to what I get from this forum... I dont have any friends or family that get being MSE, I've tried to explain some of the deals and offers and they just look at me blankly. So finding you guys means I dont feel like a freak, and I'm not alone. It's not just getting the lowdown on deals, but having people to share victories with

    Thanks for being here!
You hit the nail on the head there - we all know what you mean and no explanation is needed. Let your OH get over his little strop. I barely tell my OH about stuff now, his eyes glaze over and you can tell he is utterly bored or not listening. Yet when we have friends over helping themselves to a garage full of things, he is the first one to say "ooh, it's tiger's glitching and bargain hunting" with a massive smile on his face. I think must of us have OH's who don't understand. Glad you're part of the Elite group :T.

    Morning all!

Sarahskint & Tiger, so sorry to hear your news. Tigerwhite/redfraggle - I feel the same - so glad we can share things on here that we cannot elsewhere. It truly is like a second family - but one we choose for ourselves.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Sorry to read your news Tiger :(

So brave of you to share your story ekroys. Such very difficult decisions that have to be made. I echo that SANDS is a brilliant support to many families.

Gentle hugs to all today. I'm sure many others will have had their own feelings and past experiences stirred grouphug.gif

I went on a 1p hunt at the next town where there are still scanners (my local had theirs removed a few months ago ) but an abandoned bag of balls was suggestive of what I should expect... Everything scanned as per SEL. Thornton's toffees 75p, Lindt balls 50p etc etc. Never mind, better for the diet if less temptation ;)

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

  • Good morning everyone - so very sorry to read peoples' sad news this morning

I just popped on very quickly to say my M&S £20 bonus (newspaper ad) on Quidco has gone back to being payable (initially it was sitting at payable for a few days, then changed to pending with no explanation) - it now says it will hit my Paypal in 3 working days - just in case anyone wants to check theirs
