Good morning all.
Sarahskint sorry to hear your sad news, good that you are there for your sister and this thread will be there for you.
Ekroys17 it is so thoughtful of you to share your very personal story.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
SarahS, I'm so sorry, thoughts are with your family. Your sister is lucky to have your support but look after yourself too xx
I think I may have found some half price cat food (tinned) but before I get excited does anyone know when Mr T update their Morries prices?
OO yes please, do tell all - my gang of three will love you to bits
And a good excuse to pluck up the courage to do my initial sada order“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Massive hugs to your sister. I know exactly what she is going through. My firstborn DD had this and spina bifida. A scan picked it up and was immediately passed to fetal medicine who confirmed that the quality of life she would have would be minimal. I did get a second opinion before deciding to terminate but it was the hardest thing we had to do.
I did have to go through the birth process and she was born asleep. I don't tell many people the reason but i feel that it helps that your sister is not alone.
SANDS is a charity that helps you come to terms with what has happened and they really helped us in the beginning.
I think you will need to give her lots of support as I became very depressed after and felt guilty of what I had to do.
That was 6 and a half years ago and the pain has eased but there is never a day that goes by that I don't think of her.
Oh my goodness. I've just read this and I'm in tears again. How sad and traumatic for you. I truly feel for you :ACome in for a cuddle...Tiger

Had some terrible news, my friend's 11 year old son died unexpectedly. He had severe cerebral palsy but this was a total bolt out of the blue for everyone, his mum and dad included. I think I'm still in shock about itThe poor kid has battled all his life, had numerous operations on his legs and was in a wheelchair. It's heartbreaking.
This is so so sad thoughts are with the family and also you tiger sending you a hugs x0 -
Ive got to collect a John Lewis order from Waitrose this afternoon but apart from looking for yellow labels I cant think of anything else I need from there.
Any suggestions of things I can use MOCs for?
Its a 10 miles round trip to W but in this town I can take a cheque to the bank and some stuff to Oxfam and possibly go to the Post Office as well so its not a waste of petrol.
Just trying to think of what else now I can do to make the trip worthwhile. I think this town also has an Iceland but again I cant think of anything we really need.
(Changed from 2 cars down to one in November and Ive been charting our petrol consumption so I can get a better more accurate idea of exactly what our outgoings are. Even though we have only been doing about a 15 mile radius but mostly within a 5 mile radius we still seem to get through a hundred a month in petrol so I am trying to make each trip out multi purpose :T )“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. There must be something in the air - I just read about sarahskint's sister. Terrible decisions to make and I'm assuming she will have to give birth. Just dreadful.
It's a good job my boss isn't in work this morning as he'd prob get a bit embarrassed at my waves of emotion at the moment.Tiger
