Argos, total incompetence

I think that this has got out of hand. Yes you have a mattress you don't want They have told you they will give you a new mattress and to dispose of the one you have. I am sure there are thousands who would love it. I give any thing I want to get rid of I mean good usable furniture etc to Women's Aid. I had a Niece who had occasion to stay in a refuge and she got so much help to furnish her flat with when she was rehoused Not rubbish but perfectly good furniture She had 2 children and was so grateful for everything. Happily she is remarried and very happy but she continues to support Womens Aid because of what they did for her. So many good causes out there and so many needy.

Despite calling them within 20 minutes they have made no effort to pick up the mattress today. Instead, they booked in a collection and redelivery for 9 days away. It is a day when I'm at work.
Who did you call Argos or the delivery driver?
If you rung up Argos then by the time the driver got a call from the depot they could be a couple of hours away from youOwing on CC £00.00 :j

Argos have come back to me and "as a goodwill gesture" have suggested I dispose of the mattress and not return it. I don't really understand how that is a solution. It still leaves the onus on me to deal with their incompetence.
Give your local Premier Inn a call. They always need new matresses as the junkies make such a mess.0 -
If you live anywhere near the Wirral let me know, I'm after a new mattress for the guest bed!0
