  • It certainly seems fishy and the customer service side of things has been shocking - I think we all appreciate the site is in need of a spring clean but they've really made a hash of this in terms of communication.
I'm sure existing miles etc won't be lost to those that are concerned, but I am worried that this is the nail in the coffin and they will lose a lot of reviewers when they go live again.

  • Yes, I think there's always the risk that lots of people will just drift off, especially if any kind of re-registration is required. They really needed to be emailing us and getting us interested in the changes a while back.

Call me defeatist but I'm operating on the principle that this is the end. There's poor customer relations but this is beyond the joke - no information whatsoever on a site which relies on our efforts to survive? Not promising. I was at just over 30,000 miles and debating with myself whether to hold out for the cash payout (in the face of reduced crown awards and general site quietness, lack of product suggestion availability etc) or take an Amazon voucher and run. Decided to stick it out in the hope that things would improve so right now I'm feeling pretty fed up of being treated in this way.

I hope it does come back but I don't see the point in setting myself up for disappointment. Never really got on with the layout of Ciao but that's probably where I'll see you all next as I try to give that another go...
  • From the look of comments on Facebook MissRarr people have been applying for vouchers which haven't been coming through anyway...
Might join Ciao myself and copy some reviews over. Can't help but think that the suddenness of everything yesterday means they've been bought out. Just shows you how important community managers are!

Before becoming active on there, I tried Ciao out and was very frustrated by the layout. However, perseverance got me used to it and in some ways now I prefer the appearance of it to Dooyoo as once you become accustomed to where all the bits are that you're supposed to click, it makes more sense.

I think it's well worth (assuming Dooyoo returns) contributing regularly to both sites and cross-posting - I do it all the time, as do most people who are active members of both sites. Once established on there, Ciao is generally a better earner too on a month by month basis.
