  • Thanks Sarah - appreciate the feedback.

I've had another go, coming at it fresh today and trying to make them fit the 'model' better.

I think my main problem is that I was writing from the perspective of what information I would find useful - which doesn't always match with what other people are looking for.

For example, I'd already have looked at the size, weight, spec, price comparison etc of an item before checking up on reviews from people who have bought the product - so I'm looking for the personal experience aspect rather than the technical details when I look at a review.

Thanks again for the feedback - I think today's efforts might be a bit better.

Hello I'm looking for some advice,

I got started on dooyoo about a year ago and was just getting in to it but hadn't reached a cash out when we had a family bereavement which took up all our time for most of the rest of the year.

I logged on yesterday for the first time in ages and saw that most of my miles are now marked as due to expire in 30 days. I've updated my old reviews and starting writing new ones again in the hope that I can get to cash out something. Does anybody know whether you get a count down?

If new reviews are held as pending for 3 days, does that mean I now have 27 days to get the balance? (I'm only aiming for an Amazon card and am almost half way there).

Thanks so much for any advice :)

I don't know anyone whose ever had the 30 days countdown bit only those that've had expired miles, best place to ask would be the Dooyoo Facebook page as lots of people look there for posts/might reply.

    Good lucK! x

    Thanks for the advice.

I need 9700 more miles for an Amazon voucher I think. I'm plugging away and hoping if I do a dozen or so reviews in the next couple of weeks I might still get there.

The strange thing is that it isn't doing a countdown - it still just says
    'Will expire (30 days)'
so I guess they could disappear any time.

Will report back on what happens...

Good luck with it. I have read and rated a bunch or your reviews.

Hi all - have you seen the following from dooyoo?

    *****
Something big is coming up… Very soon, dooyoo.co.uk will undergo an "extreme makeover". The new dooyoo will look better and more modern and will be more user-friendly. There will also be a new mobile site!

Since our developers will need some time to launch the new website, it will not be possible to post reviews or comments or to do any product proposals. In this period of transition from the old system to the new one, we will not be able to hand out any crowns either.
    *****

A bit vague on timescales. I'm so near a pay out! I hope I can post one more review and claim a few more miles before the makeover starts.

Economum - do the best you can to get to the pay out level. It soon adds up if you do 1/2 reviews every day.

Pointress - I wonder what these changes are?!

I am now over the £50 pay out level but I need for about 400 to "clear" through so I will be cashing out shortly.

I know Ive asked before but a rough idea on current payout wait please? first time pay out for cash as well (I did Amazon vouchers last year)

    Cheers

Thanks for posting pointress, was just coming to do that now.

Who knows if they will even come back? It doesn't sound great, no timescales, why do they need to shut the website effectively? Seen a few people commenting on the post via their FB page, so waiting to see if/when they reply and what they say.

With regards to cashouts I don't know, sorry, I've not had one in ages.
