Oh dear - could things be any worse for dooyoo? Think not - I think they might as well just pull the plug and put the whole thing out its misery! Appalling the way members have been treated and it might have been nice to say thanks to the guides for their work - maybe that's what they meant to do when they erased the guides' forum without telling them.....
Hope everyone manages to cash out as much as possible.0 -
Yes such a shame - still buy stuff and think 'will do a review' then remember what Dooyoo has turned into - a great pity for a lot of us who enjoyed participating there.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Don't stop chasing! I certainly won't.I'm re-sending the same email daily, seeing if wearing them down does the trick :beer:Yes such a shame - still buy stuff and think 'will do a review' then remember what Dooyoo has turned into - a great pity for a lot of us who enjoyed participating there.
Good luck to everyone persisting with the site, I'll miss it. Hope to pick Ciao up soon, so no doubt see a few friendly faces there.:)0 -
Very disappointed girly here, thought 'Oh I haven't dooyoo'd in ages, I'll pop over there and review my new gym shoes!' only to get error messages and a horrible new template thing - my reviews normally run at around 800 - 1000 words, what the hell is this new 500 word max!
Off to Ciao I go I guess. I just want to make some extra cash, not battle word limits.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
Well done on finally getting your voucher! Fingers crossed it's a good omen. I've chased it up twice with no response - very poor. Maybe I should try bombarding them daily as well. On principle I wouldn't rule it out - I'm not dropping it! We all worked hard for our rewards and invested a lot of time, and they wouldn't have had a website if we hadn't. Grrr!!0

Well surprise surprise I didn't get my £50 BACS payment despite Dooyoo advising I would get it over a week ago. I've emailed them again and asked. So annoyed at this!:money::rotfl::T0

Are people that stupid they don't know how to 1.read instructions on the packet and 2. not know how to use body butter?
It seems that on Ciao, it's harder to get the VH ratings than Dooyoo, but I always find that members are helpful, and any croiticism is generally aimed at helping improve reviews, so you will earn more in the long run. It's not nice receiving criticism, but I've never found anyone being critical for the sake of being critical and any advice given is well intentioned. I always take the assumption when writing reviews on Ciao that people don't know anything about the product, and write as if I'm talking to someone who has never heard of the product, for example body butter in your example. It might sound stupid stating the obvious, but sometimes you have to do that to get higher ratings and to get paid0 -
I managed to post a review, but it was a case of writing the review straight onto the site, rather than copying and pasting the review from word. I found though that I had to save after every few sentences and go back into the review, otherwise I got the 404 screen. I did notice that every time I edited, I got another 100 DM's, which makes me think that these will soon disappear, as I only wrote one review which was edited a few times. However, after about 5 edits, I just got the 404 screen, and to be honest, the amount that I've earned isn't worth the hassle of typing and saving every few minutes to get (I think at last check 10) ratings, as there's so few people about to read and rate reviews0

Well I noticed the other day that Ciao currently has a bonus of 50p per review for computer and console game reviews posted up in May (and April, but obviously we're past that) so I've now got to spend the rest of the month reviewing all my Sims 2 expansion packs as I've got 8 of the damn things and they might as well earn me a few quid!0
