    There's a new update on Facebook:

    "Dear dooyooers, on behalf of the whole dooyoo team we would like to thank you for your patience so far. The major bugs that prevent the smooth operation are being tackled and beginning next week there will be an improvement regarding the overall performance. Moreover, next week there will be a new competition and all outstanding payments (Amazon vouchers etc) will be processed. It has been a difficult week for all dooyooers and therefore we would like to express our sincerest apologies.

    They haven't bothered to answer my email about whether crowns now earn any extra miles, although no miles seem to be added at all for the last couple of days and, I think, I've had a couple of rates - although with the shambles that is the new layout, it is pretty difficult to tell. I also, supposedly, have a comment on my latest review but can't read that either. :(

    If I thought they were actually going to pay out the vouchers I would spam a few reviews on just to hit my £20 and get out of there! :( What a shame, I used to like Dooyoo back in the day, mind you I think I've only wrote 2 or 3 reviews this year anyway!

  • well i emailed saying i hadnt got my amazon voucher (chashed in on 28th feb) and as of yet no reply nor any voucher in sight. looks like my oh wont be getting his birthday pressie before his birthday next sunday!!!! :mad:

    Do you think it's worth me contacting them about my £50 cash? I got to the cash out level when it went down and I cashed out as soon as it was live. I'm really worried I've lost that now, I took a lot of time earning those miles!

    Still no sign of my voucher 'chashed' in on the same day as Listerbelle's, nor a reply to my email asking when I could expect it.

    If all the mentions of Dooyoo and Ciao now being owned by the same people are true, does anyone else suspect that this is SO unthinkably unprofessional, amateurish, irresponsible, frankly unbelievable and just sheerly mad that they want us all on there instead and are trying to kill off the site completely?

    The mentions ARE true. At present they are still being run independently from what we can tell.

    I doubt it is a ploy, it would make better financial sense for them to just shut Dooyoo down if that was the case.

    Both Dooyoo and Ciao have both been under the same Le Guide group for some time. Ciao was actually bought by the company last year as all the members there had to accept new terms and conditions and all outstanding balances were paid.

    I don't think the current issues are the direct result of the 'merger' and really if they have bought another site it doesn't make much sense to close down the original. There has been some mention of Dooyoo moving offices though - I think the Berlin team has been closed and there are all based in Munich now??

    Either way, the new site has been totally disastrous. It doesn't look as though any miles are being added at all at the moment either so even if you are able to post a review, I wouldn't bank on receiving any miles in return. And chashing out seems a lottery too...
  • It just smacks of incompetence to me. There's no good reason why they would want to lose members (and presumably, advertisers if this continues) when they could just have done a relatively smooth transition over to Ciao, if that was what they wanted. I do get the feeling that they are trying to sort things out but that it's just a complete shambles.


    I think the most worrying thing is that they keep saying on a weekly basis that all outstanding payments are being made, when there are so many members attesting to the fact that this isn't the case. As only a handful of people are getting reviews through at the moment, presumably the number of cashout requests is very low, so I'm not understanding the inability to fulfil these, unless that's done by an automated system which also isn't working!

    It is definitely processed manually as there have been typos and things like that before when I've cashed out, things that a computer just wouldn't create.

    I hope people get paid soon, I have a feeling I am done completely with Dooyoo now as I just can't see how it is ever going to get back to how it used to be.

    Hello lovely people.

    Can I ask if your able to delete reviews you have made on dooyoo? x Or would you need to delete profile and start again?

    I used to love using the site but when my hours increased at work I didn't touch the site and let my miles expire.

    However three years on I have come back to it and now want to delete some poor reviews I done and start a fresh .

    Any ideas what to do?x
