Having a quiet day after spending most of yesterday traipsing all over The White Rose centre looking for outfit for DD's (18) leaver's ball tomorrow evening.

Her older sister (21) came with us to help and we finally found a gorgeous dress then searched for little bolero, bag and earrings - she already has new shoes that will go with the outfit.

We all came home last night with feet that ached all the way up to our neck!

    Tired but happy.

Quite peeved that hundreds of eager housebuyers are not lined up to buy our house already - DH says I am too impatient - but it has been just over a week! lol!

DD(21) goes back to student digs tomorrow but it has been lovely to have her home for a couple of days.

You really made me laugh - I will never be able to see a rowing match again without giggling.

Evening everyone, just had a quick scan, hugs all round, I will try to catch up another day!!

Had my Tesco delivery, got a phone call in the afternoon checking on which way he could get to us because of the flooding. I said dont come before 1700 as I wont be there, no problem he said, he actually followed us in at ony 2 mins to, nice and friendly, one swop on the bacon, but it was OK for me. it only came to £20 in the end!

Trying to get a x-stitch finished for a present of one of guys who has reported to me for a long time. Got some good bargains at Matalan at lunch time.

    Take care

    Hi to anyone still around.
It's been a busy day at w*** and then over to my parents for tea. DD1 moved up to the Guides this evening and really enjoyed her first session. My throat is still sore and I now sound like Barry White. My poor pupils must have thought I sounded more like a Mr than A Miss.

Ermmm ... can someone remind me what HardupHester does for a living because I'm confused and thinking the worst LOL

Washing machine man came at 11.30 for the Very early am appointment that I booked so I've lost half a day's flexi and of course it needs a new motor and he doesn't have one on his van depite me telling the call centre people twice what the problem was. The new part will take 7-10 days to travel the 5 miles or so between here and the depot and so I have washed-in-the-bath wet stuff dripping everywhere

    I have a feeling that HH's job is what you're thinking;):D.

Shez - I don't have a kitten! Well, not this year anyway, unless my friend actually manages to persuade me to take one of hers.

I'm away with the fairies this evening as I am sooooo tired. Think I should go and get some slumber.

    Good night all.
