Morning everyone.
Tring to catch up on everyones news, n9eav glad your neighbours is doing well, aussie hope your trip home was ok, welcome back jet77!
Hugs to everyone else too, oh catowen did you find where the smell was coming from?
Well not to overcast this morning but they have give rain for the rest of the week, hoping the floods in town have died down abit as ds3 at a party tommorow at pizza hut, whos enterance road was under 4ft of water on monday night!
Plans for today, im not going anywhere other than on school runs, plan on getting lots done, whole house cleaned from top to bottom and kitchen floor cleaned, ironing to be done.
Need to phone sky as they have taken direct debit out 4 days early so have had to cancel it on the online banking as wages not gone in yet and not enough in to cover it!! Had to go into town yesterday to put a £10 in to cover internet direct debit which went out this morning as i drew too much cash out on monday, really need to get my head around the budget again today!!
Went to visit brother in law last night and his girlfriends son 14 was brought home by the poilce whilst we were there for breach of the peace, as soon as they had gone he swore at his mum and took off out again, so she rang police and they brought him back again. He is on his final warning and police threating him with a hasbo, but he really doesnt care. Brother in law and girfriend are at there wits end, social service dont want to help infact they have told here unless she physically harms him they cant do anything!!!Then she would be the one who gets in trouble, then to top it off her eldest daughter who has a drug problem has been given 40 free driving lessons by the social services plus £800 worth of bedroom furniture for her child even though she already had some but she wanted a princess bed so they have bought her the whole set!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone tell why crime doesnt pay again!!!!!!!!!!Oh sorry rant over.
Off for a coffee

Dlb - sorry to hear things are no better with BIL. How is he bearing up?
Well my dad just been & gone and dropped a load of stuff off, I asked him when he was moving, he said Friday! I asked him twice where they was moving too, (maybe he didn't hear the first time, or he was holding back with that information), luckily they are in the same village. I offered to help on Friday, I said I'll be available around 3pm. He said he'll let me know! We will see! It was pleasant. BUt as it was a duick visit, we didn't get much time to talk.
I had a good night sleep, I was so tired, I was ready for it. Kids back at school today. Ive written a letter to DS teacher asking to give him some allowance and show him some compassion! But to phone if he needs me! Should hopefully find out today when the funeral is! Im back at work, which Im dreading. No doubt the manager was slagging me off y-day for not coming in!
Anyway, going to put another load of washing in, breakfast & shower.
Not got a clue whats for dinner!
Catch you later
Love Emma

Morning everyone! Late getting on here again. Woke up twice in the night so didn't get much sleep.
N9EAV - how wonderful that you saved a life! Well done and (((hugs))) to your neighbour.
CRAZYCHIK - I'm so pleased that there has been progress with your dad.
HARDUPHESTER - wow - you've worn me out with your post! Slow down, please!!
It's quite bright and sunny here at the moment; we only had light rain yesterday for about half an hour. Having caught up with the news on TV last night, I feel so sorry for all those people who have been so badly affected by the flooding. I don't know how they cope when they find their homes flooded.
I need to have a good tidy up today because the house seems to be all of a muddle since we came back from our trip and it's driving me mad! DH doesn't help because he doesn't always put things away when he's finished with them and I seem to be forever clearing up after him. I thought it was bad enough when the boys were still living here - I'm going to have words with him about it because he'll say something like 'where are the scissors?' And he's the one who's left them in the wrong place! and if he asks me one more time 'where are my shoes?', I'll do him in! It's not as if I wear them, is it? He's size 11 and I'm size 4 so why should I know where they are? Mind you, I'm always the one who finds the things he's lost!
Anyway, rant over - I'm determined to make the place look more organised. The thing I can't understand is how we've managed to fill up both the boys' bedrooms since they've moved out; if either one of them wanted to move back in, we'd have a job finding the space!
Had a lovely afternoon with DGS yesterday trying to beat him at draughts which is impossible. He's only seven yet thrashes me at every game! He gives a running commentary about his moves all the way through the game and, after describing one particular move, he said 'you're fascinated, Nan, aren't you?' and, for some reason, I found that hysterical! I laughed till I cried which then set him off and, by the time DH came in from work, we were rolling round on the floor clutching our tummies! It's true what they say, though - a good laugh does you the power of good.
Anyway, much as I would love to stay on here for hours, I really must get on.
Will drop in again later. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning
Hope everyone is alright this morning? I've just got into work (well no I'm lying I've been here half an hour!!) I've been trying to come in earlier and leave earlier for two reasons:
1 I work better in the morning and like to have more time to myself in the afternoon/evening
2 The management don't want us building up massive bank of TOIL
I've also got a deadline for some freelance work tomorrow, so that'll keep me busy tonight.
I'm following the flylady weekly thread, and must say I'm finding it much easier to follow than the actual flylady website! So far I've been shining my sink for a week, and my kitchen and living room look much much better. I think I feel better 'in myself' as well!
Following the 5 OS principles thread yesterday, and how everyone feels menu planning is the main thing for them, I did and inventory of my cupboards, fridge and freezer last night.
It's just me at the moment :j but I've got sooooo much food, why can I never find anything for lunch (and buy something from Marks instead?) why can I never find anything for dinner (yes and buy something from Sainsburys / Somerfield / Aldi?)
Oh no - Marks are opening a simply food shop where I live in August - I say oh no because I can't stop going to the one where I work now!!!!0
