Hi - just dropped in for coffee - I'm craving caffeine today, I think it's because I have too much to do and I'm not feeling physically motivated this morning! Still, have changed the bed, WM is on its second of three loads today, dinner is organised - we're having chicken casserole with veg that has been lurking in the veg box for a while (I'm making the casserole with left-over chicken and HM mushroom and celery soup and HM croutons from HM bread so, a free dinner, really. Pud will be cherry crumble (with left-over crumble mix from the freezer) and icecream. The whole dinner will probably cost about .3p!
Sun is shining here and I've got sheets on the line - we've been so lucky here in Hampshire for which I am genuinely grateful.
Have walked to the shop for the paper and some milk and walked back with my lovely neighbour and her lovely sheepdog.
I am about to start organising the spare bedrooms to make more of the space. I don't know where all our 'stuff' comes from! I should really have a ruthless clear-out for eBay and the charity shops - I'm sure life will go along quite nicely with half of it gone.
THRIFTMONSTER - we used a skateboard for moving our patio slabs. It worked really well and DH was impressed because it was MY idea!
MRSMACAWBER - I hope the move goes well for you.
WM has just finished so I should put the next lot on to wash and I've finished my coffee so I have no excuse to stay here except that I enjoy it.
See you all later.

Well I decided enough was enough with DD and the bullying so I took the bull by the horns and rang the girls mother up, I know her quite well because up and till 6 months ago they used to be best friends, she was aware they had fallen out but didnt know the extent of it so we have decided they are both coming to my house later and the 4 of us are going to have a chat and hopefully sort everything out already the girls have spoken on the phone and she has apologied to my DD so I am hoping all will be well fingers crossed

Morning everyone!
<<Crazychick>> Good news about your dad. If you don't hear anything form him before the move,m it's probably because they are very busy. Get a bottle of wine, and turn up with a "Good Luck in your new home" card a couple of days after the move?
N9eav Good to hear about your neighbour's progress.
<<hugs>> to anyone else who needs or would like one.
Busy day yesterday, spent most of it cleaning. Deep cleaned living room, hall, stairs, downstairs cloakroom, and did a reasonably thorough job on cleaning the kitchen. All floors washed, all windows cleaned.
This morning I deep cleaned the bathroom (incl windows) before having my shower. Cleaned the shower while I was in it (while my hair conditioner was doing its thing). Downstairs, DW emptied, one load of washing done and another one just about to go in. Have had breakfast, and am thinking what excuse I can use to sneak out to gym.
Last day of "diet" today as weigh and measure is at gym tomorrow. Lunch today is remainder of last nights watercress soup, dinner for DH will be Halibut and for me will be baked Kumara and salad, with a little bit of DH's halibut to try.
My tickets for the Royal Show came this morning. Although I'm really going for the shopping and the food hall, I think Wednesday's horsey classes look most interesting, although the classes I'm particularly interested in are very early in the mornning, not sure if we'll be there by then.
Fence man rang just now to say that he's starting next week. Hurrah!! Hope it isn't Wednesday!
Well, off to the gym now, will catch up on the news later.0 -

Everyone sounds really rushed, hugs for those who are felling crappy.
Ive not really got my mind on things, me and my bf are having problems and we havent really had a conversation since Sunday because he is stressed about lack of money.
We are going away for the weekend to edinburgh and its going to be a long drive from kent especially if he still is in a foul mood.
I just dont understand, im feeling very down on myself as my previous serious relationship failed and now my current bf has suddenly shown a lot of the same tendancies. He says he loves me and I understand with going through a divorce that he is under a lot of stress but how much do you put up with and forgive? Im feeling very confused and down, im expecting an unsympathetic ear from my best friend who is visiting tomorrow.
I suffer this in silence, its very draining0 -
CRAZYCHIK - that's awful and I'm sure the family will regret not inviting you and the children as you all thought such a lot of your FIL. It sounds so petty at such a sensitive time and not what HE would have wanted, I'm sure. I don't really know what to say because it's not as if you can gatecrash a funeral, is it? Would you be able to send flowers, do you think? Or, if you are worried that they would not be accepted, perhaps you could make a donation to his favourite charity - that way, you would feel you had made a contribution to saying goodbye to him. Also, there's nothing to stop you putting an announcement in the obituary column in the local paper. I do hope they think about what HE would have wanted and change their mind.
Thinking of you at this sad time.

Big hugs to crazychik that is awful news, maybe you could have your own remember grandad day on the date of the funeral, make a little spread and look back at old photos and videos if you have any and talk about your memorys of him.
That way you have marked the day and remembered the good times you shared.
Hugs bab

crazychick - If the funeral is in a church - I dont think you can stop anyone from attending - i think anyone is allowed in churches, regardless of what ceremony is taking place? not sure about cremations though? someone else on here might be better informed. obviously they prob wont let you in at the wake but i dont think theres anything to stop you attending service.
check out with where the funeral is being held.
nasty things deaths - bring out the very "best" in people dont you think:rolleyes:
good luck xx0 -

Regardless of where it is being held you do not have to be 'INVITED' anyone can go to anyones funeral (excepting royalty etc) Your chidlren are his grandchildren and should be allowed (if they want to)to attand a service for their grand father. You can slip in with the chidlren before the service starts, after the main party have gone in, and if you wish nip out before the main party leaves. Its really up to you and the children what you want to do. You do not have to go to the 'bun fight 'afterwards, you could perhaps take the children ( if they go to the service) for a special tea to celebrate their Grand fathers life. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
