    Hi Guys

I know you dont have to be invited to attend a funeral, thats why they put it in orbituary (sp) section of the local people to let old friends/family know of people's passing.

I know that FIL knew I cared, if it'll cause upset for rest of the family, Id rather stay and remember him in other ways! My ex will be in Birmingham Mon night ready for the funeral tues and return on weds, DS wants to go, DD doesn't! (which is fair enough) Ive suggested for ex to take DS over on Mon with him, and I'll drive over & collect on tuesday after the service! Im awaiting a reply, I will also leave the situation for a couple of days and ring the MIL up. Ive sent her a card, as well as my ex, his brother & sister. So they know Im thinking of them! Time will tell!

    Thanks for your responses guys!

Ive been sorting through the bits my dad dropped off this morning. Im absolutly chuffed to bits, Ive found a Be-Ro cookery book 32nd edition. Im well impressed. Cant wait to get started on that! So many nice/yummy things to chose from!

Right, best see what I can rustle up for dinner!
    Catch you later
    Love Emma xxx
Thanks for everyone's support, you've been brilliant!

    Good Afternoon
Just got in from work, so an early finish for me.
Pork chops are cooking along with new pots & cabbage.
If I finish the last curtain today, I will as long as the lodger doesn't hog the table this evening, then tomorrow I can do my telephone work earlier.

I had one of my funny regulars on last night, I call him 'the rower' all he does is shout 'IN' 'OUT' & I have to oooo on the 'IN' and arhhh on the 'OUT'. he says I'm one of his favourite girls as I always keep in time with him!! What a way to earn a living, lol.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    GGGGGGGGGRRRRRR
I have just had my Tesco ordered delivered and am:mad:     steaming.........No Parsnips, no strong cheese, no fresh chicken and no yorkshire tea bags, checked the order, they had left out the washing up liquid and bleach, charged me for 6 fish portions and there were only 4, and charged me for 2 lots of beef burgers which were supposed to be 2 for the price of one..............on top of that the little pip squeak who delivered the order said he could not deliver to the first floor as he had been told not to leave his van........so how the hell does he deliver to houses up a drive, the back door or anything else??????????????

I rang the call centre and spoke to a very nice girl, ended up with a refund of £6.15p so my shopping came to £30.62.

As for the delivery, the girl said she would speak to the store tomorrow, there has been no change of rules regarding delivery as far as she knows and could not believe what the chap had told me. I pointed out that as a senior citizen I was no longer able to carry heavy shopping bags and this was why I used the shopping service in the first place.......
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Afternoon all,

enjoying doing nothing here, DDIL is so easy to be with and DGD2 has taken a huge shine to OH, so they are spending lots of time together.

Hugs to all in need...CrazyChic, while you cannot be refused entry to a church, I think that if exoh will take DS it would be good, if not have your own little service to remember your FIL.

AussieLass, thanks for your offer of help with booking ideas...will pm you when we go home as I am still not sure when is best time to go, January would be best in many ways but not sure how I would handle heat in QLD at that time of year, so still have lots of thinking to do.

Been to market to-day in Uithoorn and bought some delicious strawberries and smoked mackerel much more cheaply than I could at home.

Hope everyone has a good evening, weather very pleasant here to-day

casrina - thats digusting ref your tesco delivery. Has the driver ever heard of locking the van! I know its convenience for people to use home shopping, these are the reasons I dont use them! I hope you get some sort of compensation!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I nearly wet myself reading that - what a fantastic way to earn a living indeed. Not for me though - I'd get a fit of the giggles and my parrot would pick up everything I said.

    Afternoon All

(((hugs))) for Crazychik - hope you get it sorted, Ive known families who were really close fall out over the death of a relative, must admit I havnt spoken to one side of cousins since my Nan died 11 years ago. (one of the reasons was that they went round her house- 50 miles from where they lived - to start putting their name on her possesesions (sp) before she'd even died - horrible.)

Havnt done any housework after all today but house looks ok. Loads of paperwork done including a horrible job that Ive been putting off which turned out not too bad at all. Strangely PC fixed itself for me when I turned it on this morning so thats one thing not to worry about.

1 load of washing done and dried, would have done more but the forcast was really bad, however it didnt rain here till 10 mins ago!

Had dinner and all cleaned up, only about 5 things to iron so wont bother today. Will have a little surf on here then bath telly and early night - bliss.

    Hi again

Well guess what ds1 went lo at his sports festival, they forgot all about his snack at 10.30 , he told them at 11.10 he wasnt feeling well, blood was 1.5 then went to 1.4:mad: its ok for them all they have to do is correct it and the blood goes up, all i have got since he has been home is bad moodswings, shouting, he gets angry and emotional, he hasnt been that lo in ages!

He is due to go on fri again so will have to make sure he does get snack, apart from that he had a good day, was playing football games all day.

School was also meant to contact me if he goes lo, not 1 phonecall.

Dh's medical went ok, he is deaf in one ear, has been for years, well i know that anyway anything i say to him he makes out he cant hear me:rotfl: the nurse also had heard about lo breaking his arm, how i dont know? anyway she said to watch out as she had heard that kids that break their elbows are more subseptible (sp) to diabetes, also a link between being double jointed too!

    Never heard that one before:rolleyes:

    Hugs
    Susie
