Hi, I placed an item for sale which ended 17:30 Saturday. The item was to be posted within working 2 days. By 18:30 Saturday I had a message from the buyer telling me how unreasonable I was. I posted the item on Sunday am. The buyer gave a good rating but still claimed I should have been quicker?? "You can please some of the people......."
  • Sellers mark the items as dispatched within a day so as to get 5* for dispatch.

Do you have any link for automatic five stars on shipping time, please? I'm not aware of this at all. Is it new?

    I agree.

Sounds the basis for some negative feedback if I have evidence the seller has lied to me.

If a seller says they have dispatched the item and it still takes 10 days to arrive, I would always check the post mark.

I only ever mark my items as dispatched once I have posted them.

Some people just like to criticise others given half a chance, especially when it can be done remotely from behind a computer screen.

Take this site as a good example :)

Sellers mark the items as dispatched within a day so as to get 5* for dispatch. It's not right if they've not been posted or are not going to posted (without a doubt) the next day.

All the information on getting an automatic 5* can be found here: http://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/automatic-5-star-detailed-seller-ratings

The link you posted contradicts this.

I do think 5* should automatically be awarded for dispatch, but only if the seller can upload tracking information to back this up.
  • You can only get auto 5 stars for P&P by using free P&P

You can only get auto 5 star for communication when meeting all of the following:

    • Tracking is uploaded or the item is marked as dispatched within 1 working day after payment has been received.
    • Stated dispatch time is 1 working day or same day.
    • The payment method is PayPal, making the payment date visible to eBay.
    • No communication took place between the buyer and seller from 14 days before the transaction up until the point that Feedback was left. This includes messages within My eBay and any cases opened in the Resolution Centre
Just marking something as dispatched doesn't get auto 5 stars and if you want to rate comms sending a message via eBay to the seller simply saying "thanks" will mean you can rate them.

Other than trying to give it the big one, I don't know what you contribution was.

Care to explain what you mean by funky bunch? Like you said the comment is lost on me so I guess it's an insult.

because you posted about an item sitting until Monday.
after being posted after last collection on a Saturday
    As if this was unreasonable.
If you don't give people the information, how do you expect them to know?

If you don't know of the Funky Bunch then you have lost out I'm afraid

Please, don't waste anymore of your time on this. Others have been very helpful unlike you so continue your campaign elsewhere.

I didn't say automatic 5* for dispatch. I understand I maybe didn't word that too well though lol. I don't think automatic is possible, it's just that sellers mark as dispatch right away so buyers give them 5* and they get automatic on the communication for doing so as long as they reach the other requirements. Although upon googling automatic 5* for dispatch that's the link that appears on ebay.
