Back in the 90's, Sainburys did a shower gel in Linden blossom and Aloe scent. I loved the smell of that.

    I

reject penguin biscuits but the best was Chocolate Olives. They were round and shaped like a farleys rusk but smaller but they were covered in dark chocolate. As they were the rejects, there were tons with extra thick chocolate on. Yum yum in my tum.

    !!!

They were chocolate Olivers. You can still get them Huntley and Palmers do them - If Matti and Tissot is still around my Mum used to buy them there I think

    Corona fizzy drinks

    Toffypops

You could get a few pennies back as kids from returning the glass corona bottle.

Toffypops still around, got some from a store in Cornwall :D

I used to love lemon mousse. When I was a child you could buy little individual blocks of it.
We used to have lemonade too. It was in crystal form and came in a tube with a picture of the Eiffel Tower on the end. You made it up with water.
Then there were coconut flakes covered with pink and white sugar.
A more recent thing that I miss are the mini packets of Pringles-not the small tubes but the ones where the Pringles were in a plastic tray wrapped in plastic. They came in packs of six.

    Spangles. Fry's Five boys chocolate.

I used to love Spangles :j. We used to get given these at primary school for being good. We could choose any flavour we wanted from the tin. I used to get loads :rotfl::rotfl:
Pacers - they were about the size of chew it's and were green and white striped. Lovely minty flavours :D

Me too!! Really yummy and very soft and chewy!
I've just remembered Terrys Chocolate Lemon - a lemon version of their Chocolate Orange. Sadly they didn't sell them for long.

I knew I didn't dream it. I'm allergic to orange so my Mum got me a lemon one so I didn't feel left out at Christmas (back in the day!!)

I also remember Texan bars and Nutty bars (I think they were called that) they were chewy and had peanuts on the outside, very strange. But these were "grown up" chocolates so I wasn't really allowed them.

Another favourite as a little girl were Mojos, they used to be half a penny each . Anyone else noticed it's mostly food we miss?!

Just remembered they used to do a butterscotch Ready Brek, yummy!!! This was back in the day when Golden Nuggets were the size of a golf ball!

I loved Spangles too! My friends and I used to go to Saturday morning pictures and I always bought a packet of Spangles to eat whilst watching the films.
  • Juliettet, your triangular ice lolly sounds very much like something we had as children but we called them "jubblies", maybe regional names for the same thing.
