You might also check that your RAM modules are firmly seated in their sockets, as memory problems can also give a "no bootable device" error sometimes.
You can lose a loose goose.
You cannot loose a lose goose.
Get it? Now use it before you lose it.
    or - Try
using it - not losing it. ;)

You might have to disable "Secure Boot".
Be careful with that... if your PC was a Windows 8 PC and you change the BIOS settings to disable Secure Boot and/or UEFI Boot, it can actually cause the sort of error you're seeing now. I've seen this myself - on a very similar Toshiba!

Disabling Secure Boot (or more specifically UEFI Boot) is useful if you're trying to boot from a CD or USB that isn't designed to work with Windows 8. But it also means the PC won't boot from the hard disk, even if that's OK, if the disk is on a new-style (GPT) file system that Windows 8 can use.

Is it possible that your son has changed any BIOS settings?

Did the PC come with Windows 8?

If the answer to both questions is Yes, make sure it's set to UEFI Boot and not CSM in the BIOS and see if it boots then.

Brushed it to get dust off.

what did you use to "brush" the disk?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

No the computer said recovering and would take longer than an hour but it was on most of night but no luck. I've now enabled the secure boot again. And going back through the suggestions above. This is message we have on screen. Your PC needs to be repaired a required device isn't device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Oxc0000000f then screen went off.

On screen now is boot menu. 1hdd/SSS. 2 USB. 3 odd 4 LAN. (Enter setup).

Just waiting for it do something else now.

When you've re-enabled "Secure Boot" go along to the advanced category a couple of pages along and make sure UEFI is selected also. I have a spare drive and tried doing it with mine and was successful with both Win 8 and Vista. If repairing it shouldn't really take more than a couple of hours. I wonder if your hard drive was reseated properly after cleaning it.
What area are you in? I only ask as if it is your hard drive you are welcome to have this spare one of mine. I've wiped it and it's ready for an operating system to be installed.

It's waiting for you to select either 1 2 3 or 4. I wonder if the "Required device" is your HDD and it hasn't been reseated properly. Just a thought.

Ah, that might not have helped. Hard disks don't like static electricity. Brushes are great for generating static electricity.

Hopefully your issue now is just that the hard disk wasn't reseated properly.
