  • Morning all

Thank you for your kind wishes GAP & Fortune. I had a lovely day with my family & it continues today! Cinema in a little while (student card so discount applies) then dinner (vouchers so 2 meals free).

Tomorrow Littley's throwing me a party then I'm off out for the evening to see a show - thanks to a lovely pressie from my parents :) Feeling thoroughly spoiled if not a tad tired.

So, today I've made a PAD already and have requested a credit decrease on Cat2 as even if I made no more PADs this month I'd still be under £700 with the interest added. That's made me smile :)

Started making monthly contributions to an ISA for myself (not to be touched for 5 years at least!!) as well as re-starting Littley's CTF. Well, I've moved it over to a JISA so monthly payments are now going in there too. It's only a tenner a month into each which I know could be better going towards a debt but Littley's 10 so I really need to restart the payments soon and I know when she's 16 I'm going to have to find money for lots of things for her - namely the big money con that is prom - so best to start saving now. I've also put an extra £30 into my account as it's my birthday. I'll be putting in a little bonus to each account on birthdays and Christmas.

I've also started putting money into a savings account for when the tax man comes calling in 2017 as I want to make sure I have plenty enough for him. I'm just putting in 20% of all unaccounted for earnings into there to cover myself. Plus of course I want an emergency savings pot so that's starting next pay day.

On that note I'm going to go and try to wake up. I honestly think my body has just gone bleurgh! now that I've got most of my work and the garden done. It's not til you stop you realise you've been running on empty for so long.

Have a nice day everyone :) Xx

That's all sounding great sassy. I'm in agreement with the child savings. You are not struggling to eat or spiralling out of control with the debt so it is fine to put some away. It's the people who are struggling to cover their bills and yet still want to put away money for their children that confuse me. Far better to get yourself to a decent position first, then you can start to add to savings. Once you are in a more stable position you can put away even more (you as in 'one' not you personally sassy I think you have it right :)).

Enjoy the rest of your birthday celebrations

I totally agree. I was in a position a few years back where I just couldn't put anything into an account for Littley so didn't. Then when I could I decided that money would be better off paying for something epic in Australia so didn't out any in when saving for that either. All in all I think I didn't pay anything in for about 4 years but am now in a position where I can. Saying that, she's still managed to accumulate quite a bit of mullah without any help so she's been alright - she has more saved then I do!!

Still not gone to wake up so off I go. Have fun! :) xx

Had a great weekend with lots of family and friends and a fantastic time. Got spoilt rotten and told I thoroughly deserved it all so accepted it all. :)

Nothing else to say except I've made my PAD today and the credit decrease request has gone through so all is good.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

  • Morning everyone

Littley and I are swapping bedrooms as she is clearly needing more space whereas I have the rest of the house for my stuff. So yesterday I bought some paint for my new room and am leaving her new room the colour it already is. It was on offer too so I saved £7.98 which was great.

I got my water bill through today and for the first time I'm not owing them anything which is fantastic. In fact, I only owed £34.75 so have paid that today to make sure I don't forget.

Made a PAD plus my monthly payment to our holiday next year. It's only a holiday park in the UK but they can be pricey. Thankfully I only have to pay £17 a month so that's not bad. It'll be nice come January to know I've already paid it off.

That's all for today. Have a good one :) xx

  • Evening everyone

Got a busy day tomorrow so made tomorrow's PAD tonight and am happy to report that I've brought the finish date forward by a month just through my PADs. It also means that I've brought CC2 forward by a month too.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Yay to bringing finishing dates forward by a month :j:T More of that to come I'm sure :D

£17 a month is not bad at all! It will all be paid for by then at a small monthly cost. What area of the UK are you going to?

Made my PAD today and also put £3.50 into the sealed pot last night. Not much else to report except having a mare trying to paint a dark pink room cream! The walls have padded wallpaper on so it soaks the paint in more in some places for some reason. Starting to wish I hadn't started. :(

GAP - we're heading up to the North East coast so hopefully it should be good. It has a huge pool if the weather's not up to much but we're going over Easter so should be ok.

Oh, get 2 invoices paid tomorrow hopefully but still waiting for the other 2 big ones from May to be paid. Really starting to frustrate me now. Doesn't matter what the gov say they'll do to help small businesses if your clients are multi-national corporations and they don't pay on time what can you do?

Have a good day everyone :) xx

  • Morning everyone

Not much to report. Made a PAD already, still decorating, got last few bits of garden to do, got family staying this weekend (including 2 kids under 5!) and the house is a state (due to decorating!), got work to do and some bits for my Mum. So with that all in mind I best get my backside off here, get dressed and start on some of that dreadful list!

Have a good day and weekend everyone! :) xx
