Just got my CC1 statement and realised the outstanding balance is down to £7215.22 which is £200 less than I thought so that's good. Means I've paid £3058.44 off the debt so am very happy!CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Morning sassychick.
I have just spent the last few days reading your diary and OMG woman you are amazing, I cannot believe how much you have achieved and I'm totally in awe of you.
Your trip to Australia must have been truly unbelievable and just shows what can be achieved with hard work and bl**dy mindedness,I loved the fact you set a date and you were going.
You are such a positive role model to your daughter, who I have to say sounds adorable and has such a sensible head on her that I'm sure she will also go far in life and achieve loads.
I'm also sorry about the fact you have lost members of your family in the past couple of years,I'm sure they were incredible proud of you and that you brought lots of love and laughter to their lives and them to yours, remember the fun times!
Right enough of me waffling on, I have debt to pay and a dream of taking my family to America, just the small case of how the h£ll am I going to do it!DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW

Welcome ITBW!
Thank you for stopping by and omg thank you for taking the time to read my rambings on here. I'm sure it took you more than a few days though!
Thank you so much for your encouragement and kind words. They really do mean a lot to me. I find if I don't have a set date I let things drift and that's not good for anyone. Plus I'd booked it so if we didn't go to Oz when I said I'd have lost a lot of money on the deposit! lol I'm sure if you work out the right time that you feel you can go you'll be in America before you know it. If I can do it anyone can.xx

Morning everyone
So how were your weekends? Mine was great as had family here and finally got to show my garden off to my little brother. He's one of these people who always finds something that's wrong or not quite right so it was nerve wracking showing it off to him. But I needn't have worried as he just kept going wow, this is awesome. So he clearly loved it - yay!
Took niece & nephew to the cinema with Littley which was a bit pricey but Mum put a few quid towards it which was lovely of her. Came home, watched a bit of footie, had a bbq and a thoroughly fantastic weekend.
My brother for the first time that I can remember gave me some money towards petrol as I always seem to be running him or the kids around so that was definitely welcomed. I was going to put it in the sealed pot but instead am using it to pay for swimming.
Have had an email asking for a meeting to discuss more work with the "project-by-project" client so that's great.
Oh, made a PAD today. Not a big one but every penny helps. They've brought the credit limit down at my request so that's good.
Broke my wardrobe on Friday and it's beyond repair. Tbh it was a cheap canvas affair so it was never going to last long. Have been looking around and forgot how pricey they can be. However there's a local guy on Gumtree that sells big brand furniture that's unused but can't be sold through main store as a little chip out of it or something. Going to call him today and see if I can get one I've seen. Should be £109 but he's selling it for £39. If I can get cheap delivery too that'll be a bonus.
Am now sitting out in the garden working while Littley is at a friends. The only issue is that the wifi only reaches the very front of my seating area so am sat at an angle to ensure I have internet. Will call sky and ask them what I can do for that little extra signal so I can be comfortable.
Have a great day everyonexx

Hi everyone
Not much to report except I made my PAD today and also got my statement for the cleared cat saying "total amount outstanding £0.00" which was great!! Feel like framing it lol I've emailed them asking them to close it but have heard nothing yet so will chase them up in a few weeks.
I've still not been paid for my 2 invoices from May which is starting to cause problems now. We're half way through the summer holidays already (how!?) and we don't seem to have done anything! The main reason being I've not been paid yet so can't afford to do the things we'd normally do. And I don't mean big trips or expensive outings but just things like take the kids camping, go to the beach, a day out in London, visit family/friends. It doesn't cost a great deal but I just don't have it so we can't do anything. We've been having fun at home around my work (and I've taken 1.5 days off per week to dedicate to family time) but when Littley & my nephews are asking when we're doing such and such it's proving a bit tricky. That's what happens when you do something every year I suppose. The kids think it's odd if we don't do it!
The really frustrating thing is that they want a meeting with me to discuss more work (my client obvs, not the kids! haha) but I'm a bit loathe to say yes as they're rubbish payers. But when they do eventually pay it's really good money and I'd be stupid to turn it down. Flippin' big companies!! grrr
Ah well, that's my moaning done. Best go sort the washing out then catch up on Phil & Kirsty & see what's gorn on!
Have a good eveningxx

:rotfl: I properly LOL'd at this! Until I read the bit in brackets I actually wondered why the kids wanted a meeting with you. Brain is too full right now
If you have a meeting with them could you discuss their lack of speed in paying? Explain that you would be happy to take on more work but it's not really worth your while if they can't pay within an appropriate timescale.xx

Haha GAP! I did wonder if it read that way.
The client is through the company I do work for so it's not really my place to chase them. The owner of the company is really good though and keeps hassling them but she has already said it's ridiculous and not worth the hassle. However I do all the work and get paid on a project by project basis so if we turn the work down I don't get the money, and it's actually a lot of money for what I do. The work isn't actually that bad and is pretty easy for me to do, it's just the company's attitude to paying. I think we've got another 2 projects and that would probably clear cc2 & cat2 as well as a lot to go into savings so that I can pay more off cc1 when the time allows (it's fixed payments atm). So you can see why I'm loathe to call their bluff! I don't budget their payments into my accounts so when it comes it's a "bonus" rather than a "wage" but I was stupidly kinda relying on it for extra fun stuff for the holidays.
Now I'm rambling so I'm going to clear off and try and get a few more bits done around the house whilst Littley finishes watching her show then we'll have some fun.
Have a good weekend everyonexx

Wow, that is a lot of money, especially if you think it is fairly easy work. That's the kind of job I wish I had.

Morning!
So this weekend I finally finished decorating the small room and have started moving Littley's furniture into the big room. Or as they should now be called my room and Littley's room! I'm heading out today to see if I can get an remnant of carpet (it really is that small!) then I can start moving my stuff out. I also need to start measuring up and buying wood so I can build the bed.
I've also decided that as I don't really like doing some of the work for my small client I should do something about it. So I've recruited my nephew to do some of the work. He's waiting to start 6th form & has been applying for work everywhere but hasn't had much luck as yet. This way I don't have to do the work & he gets some money. Obvs as he's only 16 and not done it before it's at a lower rate than what I earn. Also, I think it's giving him a bit of confidence that I think he's good enough to do this work, gives him a little something to put on his cv & also some mullah in his pocket.
Just remembered that my brother is buying my old bed for my other nephew so will probably use that money to pay for the materials for the new bed or even give that straight to nephew for his work. Either way it's all good.
Right, got to get sorted for carpet shopping & laying. Fingers crossed I get something good!
Have a good day everyonexx
