  • Morning

Another dreary morning weather wise but at least the rain has bedded in my plant that I moved from the front garden to the back. Is bedded in the right term? Ah well it is now!

I'm having problems with cat poo again. I've managed to stop the foxes but there's a lovely fresh cat poo right in the middle of where I'm laying a patio tomorrow. It really annoys me as I don't have pets because I can't stand to pick up their poo so other peoples pets using my garden as a toilet isn't fair. However, it didn't look to good today so whoever the cat belongs to is prob going to have a vets bill soon :(

Enough toilet talk!! Tomorrow my nephew is coming over to help move the patio from one area of the garden to another so today is all about doing 2 days work. Have already made the PAD to cat3. Still can't believe how quick it's coming down. Can't wait to close that one completely. I also have to do a food shop which I really don't like. I'd get it home delivered but the shop doesn't do that and tbh I never spend enough to warrant the delivery charges anyway! Which I must look at as a plus!

Have a great day everyone :) xx

well done with your pading!! You're on a roll!

With regards to your shopping, i actually don't dislike shopping per se, but i DETEST big supermarkets! There are many reasons why I love Lidl, obviously it is cheaper, it is only 5 mins away from my house, i like the food, but most of all, i like the size of it; I can drive there, shop, drive home and put the shopping away all in 40 mins. If I went to the big supermarkets it would take me at least an hour but prob more.

    Have a good day x

There's an Aldi, a Co-op and a Sainsbury's all near me but I try to use Aldi the most. It's only 2 mins away so as you say, I can get there, shop and back within half an hour tops. It's just the actual getting up and thinking what I need and then choosing it in the shop! lol

I actually need to get seedling trays today as well as petrol so seems I'm going to be out a bit longer. There's another shop near here that's a kind of everything shop so I'll pop there too. I'd rather be in my garden reading a book though but can't complain as I have been for the last hour!! :) xx

    Hi sassy, found you!

I haven't read your whole diary as I haven't got time to read through all 32 pages haha. I have jumped in at page 31 and read from there.

I'm so glad you are PADing. It really helped me when I was paying off the last debt. It's amazing how it just chips away at it without you missing money.

I don't like doing the grocery shop either :( It's trying to think up the meal plans that is the biggest problem but I don't like going to the supermarket without a list and I don't enjoy making the list and then I don't really like going to the supermarket so, to summarise, I don't like doing the grocery shop either :rotfl: Sorry, ramble ramble :o

    Your garden is sounding lovely!

Glad you found me. In a nutshell I think in the previous 31 pages I've decided to pay off my debts, had elderly relatives in Australia die so decided to take Littley there sooner rather than later. Managed to save £2400 in just over a year (I don't know how either especially as I lost a few contracts a few weeks after I paid the deposit!!) Lost a few more family members (really has been a bad year for deaths!) My mum had cancer but is ok now. Littley (10) had a fab 5 weeks in Oz earlier this year & is very much into the MSE way of thinking. Got a new contract this year that is lots of money but sporadically paid so no idea when any of it comes in. Am concentrating on getting all my debts cleared but also enjoying time with Littley (hence the holiday & the garden). Decided to make PADs to try and get debt down quicker.

There probably was more but that will do! lol :)

Am sitting in my new, half finished garden as I type this pretending to work, listening to the kids from the local school on their playtime. Lovely!

Have a nice day everyone :) xx

  • Morning everyone

Today is one of those days when I just cba to do anything! Lol. I've proved this by having a cuppa at 2 different friends houses and am now doing money stuff on here rather than attempting to get any work done. It's only because I'm so flippin' tired that I can't get my head around thinking!

In other news, I've made a PAD today so that's still coming down nicely.

I needed some soil so bought a split bag for a fraction of the cost of what it should have cost. It looks like there's not much missing so it's a good saving. The downside is I have to find some energy now and actually plant the seeds!! I also need to transfer some plants from the garden to a grow bag so I can dig over & put slabs where they were. I am soooo shattered from doing my garden but it's looking so good I want to keep going. Am feeling very proud of myself.

Oh, almost forgot! Had been trying to find some nice squidgy soft garden furniture that you can curl up on but the only thing remotely near what I was after was in the thousands!! Mum spotted a nice leather sofa on Gumtree for a mere £40 so that's now sat in my new garden and is very comfy. The only problem is that my wifi stops about 3ft away so can't really do much work down there :( Aah well, means I have to relax instead!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

  • Hiya

I'm sure it will weather well as it's under cover so won't get wet. Just got to make sure the neighbouring cats don't make it their home. I swear every flippin house around here has a cat and they all come and poo in my garden - grrrr.

Found some reserves today and got about 80% of this week's work done! Don't know quite how I did it but I did. It's quite handy as I've got Thursday off and then Littley breaks up on Friday for the summer holidays. I know we had a long break earlier in the year but I actually can't wait!

Enjoy the rest of today :) xx

  • Morning all

So today's meeting has been cancelled which means that I can hopefully get the remaining 20% of this week's work done today. It's one of those jobs that I keep trying to put off that really needs to be done and probably isn't half as bad as I'm expecting! Whenever I finally get paid for it the money has already been allocated to some treats for the garden so I'm looking forward to it. Just wish they'd flippin pay me the rest of the money!!

Made my PAD and also put £4 into the sealed pot. I haven't been writing on here how much I put in the sealed pot as didn't think about it but noticed other diarists do so if I remember I will.

Paid for Littley's school trip today so that's all finished and paid for. I know some trips are really pricey but still think £150 for a 2night stay is a lot! She better enjoy herself :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

  • excellent daily payments as always sassy!

Feel your pain re school trips - i have had to pay for trips for both girls this week. Year 6 one is 5 days in an adventure centre for £300 and the year 8 one is 3 days in germany for £300. As far as I can tell the german one involves most nights spent on the coach travelling through the night so seems a lot of money for what it is lol! I had made a few installments for the first so it was only (!) £160 this month and first installment of £30 for the second, but with many more due before November

Lets hope the girls enjoy these trips hey!!
