Morning Rainbow
They do have an IT suite full of Macbooks and iPads and iMacs - amazing how much they have!! There is also a program at the school called Lexia which sounds similar to to linquascope. This is for children who have dyslexia or learning difficulties and has been a great success for a friend's child so it does work. However Littley is keen to help the kids that are just needing a bit of help. For instance, a girl asked if she would be able to have help with her handwriting as she didn't feel she was neat enough. Another has mentioned she would love to write stories whilst a young boy has asked if she'll help him increase his reading level.
The library is right next to the dining hall so she's hoping she'll get some "passing trade" as kids come out from lunch. I'm sure she'll succeed!
Have a great day!xx

Morning all
Apparently the people responsible for my boiler are coming to service it today. And will they be fixing the radiator in the bathroom I asked? Oh? Is there a problem? You have to call us to let us know!
Seriously, where do they get these people? Bet you 100-1 they don't show up!
Have a good day everyonex

Lol Rainbow! I actually bet my mate £1m that they wouldn't turn up - but he did!! SHOCK! I got out of paying her though as he was over an hour late.
Him: Sorry I'm late, they didn't tell me I was coming here til this morning & it's a 4 hour drive.
Me: I bet they didn't tell you you've got to fix the radiator too?
Him: Oh for f*ck sake there cr*p in that office.
Me: No sh*t sherlock
Best bit? He looked at the radiator and the boiler and the reason I had no heat in the bathroom for the entire winter is because when they fitted the boiler they forgot to turn the radiator back on. I kid you not. He got some pliers out, fiddled around with the end of the radiator you don't touch, did something with the pipes in the cupboard then goes "shove your bum on that love" and the radiator was warm.

Afternoon all
Not much going on today. Overspent a little yesterday as had last minute invitation to watch nephew play in cup final match (which his team won!) which left us with a mere half an hour to cook and eat dinner. Cue chippy tea. Also needed cash for football, put petrol in the car and the change went in the pot.
Paid another fiver into the emergency fund so that's now at £35.
Was supposed to be paid last Friday but not had anything yet, am hoping for this week instead. Have 2 invoices outstanding and am definitely needing them.
Littley has decided her favourite meal atm is a large yorkshire with peas, sweetcorn & gravy so that's a cheap tea for tonight for her. I'm going to try and do the larder challenge and see how far we get eating only items out of the cupboard this week. I have a feeling there will be a lot of pasta dishes!
Have a good day everyonexx

Afternoon all
Not much to report as not been paid yet so it's tight again, especially thanks to a letter from Littley's school saying she'll be starting swimming lessons this week. Cue cries of despair when I realise that her cossie is to small and she needs a new one - oh and a hat!
So glad I had started the emergency fund as although this wasn't the original intention it's come into it's own now. So trip to the store tonight to get new kit - must make sure that's all I buy!
No Walk to School money as I'm shattered so drove. I know I should feel bad but I don't! Think we're biking tomorrow - oh joy!
Have a good day everyone!x

Does the 45p still go into the pot when you bike?
I'm SO glad that your boiler/radiator has finaaaaaaaaally been looked at. I can't believe it just wasn't turned on and it's taken this long for them to get their act together. Urgh!
Littley's favourite meal sounds awesome to me. You can't beat a good Yorkshire pud
How are you getting on with your Mac? Have you fully adjusted yet?
Hope you have a good day! x0 -
I feel your pain regarding unexpected school expenses!
Although your boiler man was a very cheeky chappy:whistle:, at least he got the job done, which is more than can be said for the rest of that cowboy outfit!!"I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Evening
Yes the 45p does still go in the pot although I'm sure it should be more. I damaged my knees about 14 years ago and still get pain in them so when I get back from a 2 mile round cycle trip I'm shot to bits!
I felt so embarrassed when the bloke said the radiator just wasn't turned on but when he showed me what I'd have had to do - I wouldn't have known that in a million years!
Littley does love her yorkie pud & it's good cuz it means I can have pie, which she hates. Who hates pie!?
Mac - love it!! But still desperately trying to use it. Found out the other day that if you swipe the mousepad the screen changes which is fine. So long as you're not in the middle of an important video conferencing call and they all laugh at you going "eh, where've you all gone!?" Embarrassing hehe
Have a great evening! xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832
