Sorry to hear Littley's bike broke already - BUT fantastic on the freebie. Bet she was dead chuffed!
The cashback sites are definitely worth signing up to. I have Quidco, and although I do forget to go through it most of the time it's handy to have, especially if you need a "big" purchase. I got £100 when I first signed up to Sky, which was great. I only get a few £ here and there now, but it's all money for nothing so definitely worth doing.
Have a great dayxx
Thanks hon, I've not done too bad. Was quite nice to hear Littley telling her bezzie today about her cool mummy getting all the free stuff!
Will def have a more indepth look at these cashback sites and then try to remember to use them.
Have a great eveningxx

Hi Sassy,
I have used Quidco sporadically over the last few years. I have just checked my account and I have received £536.38 from them, so it is certainly worth doing. I could probably have made double that if I had been more consistent:):("I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Morning all
Have had another look into the cashback sites and will try and use them more in future. I'm needing to get a new sewing machine soon and can get it through one of these from where I was going to get it anyway. Just got to wait for some money to come in now! There's no hurry as such but I've got a few things to make for Littley's birthday and that's only a month a way.
On a plus note, I noticed a payment hadn't gone across to my ISA this morning so had a quick check to make sure it was all ok and found my spreadsheet and I had obviously had a falling out as I didn't have £209 in there at all. There is in fact £323.60 in there!! So happy as this is the holiday pot that I'm putting my £6 a day, spare change, walk to school money etc - and the theory is that the interest will build up so when I withdraw it to pay for my holiday I'll have a little more. The other £800 is in an account with the actual travel agent which is rubbish as I don't get interest but the best way at the time as I couldn't have saved it all without it.
Am off to the charity shop as they have a duvet set in Littley's favourite colour which will go lovely with an old top of mine. Sounds a bit odd I know but I'm making her a new rug for her room (also partly her b'day pressie) and both colours go with her duvet cover & decor. I've got the backing upstairs for it so only need to replace my fabric glue. Can't wait to get cracking!
Have a good day everyonexx

Another thing with the cashback sites - they tend to give awesome cashback when booking travel. I think you get something silly like 10% back when you click through to Expedia with them. Something to bear in mind when the exciting time comes to book Oz!

Evening all
Found a sewing machine on Gumtree today which looked good and a bargain at £25 but wasn't 100% so went to The Range where they were selling it brand new. Spoke with an assistant there and explained what I needed it for and she said it wouldn't be sturdy enough. So glad I did as I would have wasted that money if not.
Picked Littley up from school & she told me that she had come up with a club where she could help other kids with their reading and writing. She spoke to a teacher who has agreed to help Littley and her best friend run the club every Wednesday lunchtime. She put some posters up this morning with sign up sheets too and have 3 people already signed up. Could I BE more proud!?!? As a well done I took her to Sainsbury's to buy a book I knew she really wanted. Although in true MSE style I used the £2.71 voucher I got last week on the brand comparison offer so only actually spent 78p.
That's all for today, I think it's enough! Have a good eveningxx

Thanks hon,
I am so ridiculously proud it's unreal. Tbh I was a bit apprehensive about it all because when she was in year 1 she saw the earthquake in Japan (I think it was) on the news and heard about the poor kiddies her age that hadn't been picked up from school as their parents were no more. She was so moved by it that she went to school the next day and asked if they could do a fund raiser to help them - yeah, she was 6! Obviously having a pupil ask this was so endearing that the teacher promptly fobbed her off and never got back to her. Littley was devastated. It seems unless the charity is a forced one with a bear wearing an eye patch or one of the other ones from that Corporation the school isn't bothered.
So to be recognised for recognising an issue and trying to address it is a huge achievement for the school as well as Littley and I'm too proud for words!!x

Morning all
Well, woke up to thick fog this morning so decided it was safer to walk than cycle which was right as the thicker fog has gotten extremely thick & within 2 seconds (literally) of me shutting my front door the heavens opened!
As it's so early I don't have much to tell you except that after being so proud of Littley yesterday and I now uber proud of myself because as you can see in my signature, I've saved £200 in 30 days in the £6 a day challenge!! How the bejazus I managed this I still have no idea but I'm over the moon.
Right, gotta go do some work now! Have a good day everyonexx

Good for the school too. Does the school have a computer suite? I used a lot of interactive software with DS to help him with listening, reading and writing, 10 years ago, and things have really progressed since them. Dr Seuss was a particular favourite. He is a visual learner, as are a lot of kids with dyslexia/dysphasia etc.
Now I have got him connected to linquascope, through the school, for his Spanish and he is making much greater progress in one hour on line, that 5 hours in the classroom.
EDIT - I have just checked and there is an English section too, which looks really good fun. Most school's should have a license for this program, it might be worth checking.
