Why don't moderators to do IP checks (and other checks to confirm a dupe account). I'm sure they're aware of the situation.

Pretty easy to change/ hide your IP address, but I agree that they should do more. Given the offence and upset he has caused they would have grounds to take civil action against him/ her/ it.

Sadly because IP's don't remain static and because it is easy to mask your IP or hide it.

Moderating a forum and dealing with trolls is something that is also very resource hungry.

I personally have more issues with long established posters on many forums who break the rules on a daily basis and are extremely judgemental and very patronising. This kind of breeds trolls so it's a vicious circle and almost impossible to really police. Regular's often resent newbies who have a different opinion etc. but the good usually out ways the bad.

At the end of the day that's message board life and I think some trolls can become kind of loveable and as Own my Own said it's quite sad really that they spend their lives trolling.

Indeed. I help moderate a forum and dealing with trolls is so time consuming.

A very thoughtful post. Some long term posters here are trolls themselves rooting out so-called trolls. It makes very uncomfortable viewing and puts newer posters off...

Thanks and very true what you say some trolls that have so many different persona's they argue with themselves to get the rest of the forum involved.

And they can be so complex they plant other persona's and bring them out year's later.

I could write a book on the old Radio 2 Message Boards :D
But many of those original posters are still in touch after 10 years! So not all bad and we have fond memories of the major trolls and their various persona's, I prefer the ones that exaggerate to those that are downright nasty.

Can i be an AndyTroll ?

I want to apply for DLA so that i can get a Jaguar F-Type on motability. :)

Im willing to chop my own leg(s) off to obtain this dream. :)

Both legs for the full spec. Only 1 leg for the cheaper models.

    What are my chances?

For a start Landrover/Jaguar do not get involved with Motability. They have no need to. Each vehicle is made to specific order and there is a waiting list at the moment. They have no need to off load stock in that way. They are a premium brand.

I doubt it, self inflicted illnesses and disabilities are not acceptable. Care or mobility needs arising will not be considered.

Maybe if you happened to cross a railway track just as a train was coming, I suppose you could say it was an accident of sorts. But then it is highly likely that you wouldn't need the DWP, the undertakers would be more appropriate and I doubt that they would help fill out a claim form for you.

I'll take your comments as pure satire. I'm pretty certain that you wouldn't want to be without one leg, nevermind two.
