Right, I'm getting somewhere at last.
I revealed to Jinky yesterday so now i'm doing the same to you. Providing i get my debt sorted, and a little saved up, by the time I finish uni next summer...then I am gonna apply to read medicine at uni. I know it is a long shot and it's hard work etc etc but becoming a doctor is something I am desperate to achieve.
Right, I've said it, so I have to do it now. Right?*Everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real heads*

I'm hungover this morning, not a great look at all. It is even more concerning given that I have a gym induction and work later on

Hi Notty!
I suppose I knew I'd end up posting on here! lol.
I have to say, just your opening post has endeared me to you!
Actually I think we have a lot in common (rambling, honest, depression sufferer, IBS, Elton fan, often distracted by the Internet, the poetry, the grey hairs etc.)
OH and your list: I would stop holding onto bad memories...
I would not owe another individual or institution money...
I would not need my parents for anything (for me, eg money, approval, acceptance, even a lift anywhere lol)
I would have a career and not a bunch of excuses for not yet having one
I would not be 'starting diet/work/etc tomorrow', I would be doing it now
I would visit new places in the world on holiday
I would not make empty promises
I would not let the smallest thing let me get so damn furious
I would confront something rather than shy away from it
You sound like an amazing friend - is this something you realise about yourself? Admittedly I am reading posts from 3 years ago atm but I think there is a lot about yourself that you haven't admitted to even you and that you need to 'find yourself'. Maybe as I read on I'll find you have done that...
It's certainly great reading from your low feelings to much more upbeat positiveness. *Minge-tastic* springs to mind!
Your studying of whichever topic within science sounds hard - I undertook an OU course last year in maths to ready myself to get a degree within astronomy & geology. Sadly my maths skills are VERY poor
and I failed miserably. Nor did I help myself by studying harder, once I realised it was such a struggle I put in less effort. For every page in the book I needed someone's help, I felt really stupid. Which annoys me because I know I could have done something with my brain & education had I not have got so angry at the college I was at when I was 16 (I also felt very much like the world was against me then. They say youth is wasted on the young and it's true!)
I'm still only on summer 08, but dying to find out how all your exams went etc. A great moment when you reveal your desire to be a doctor! Wish I could settle on 1 thing and go for it!
O no! No more posts?! Have I missed something...? :huh:I've got nothing else but I've got my family.
Mum to Moo age 6, Wills aged 3. 2nd wedding anniversary 11/13! :j0
