It really depends about the time off. In reality you will have a good inkling of what your degree level will be just after Christmas, also finals ( if you sit exams) will be over in May, so you will be finished quite early and could now start applying for graduate programs. I would also start targetting companies you want to work for and getting the work experience you need, which will give you a good job. That's my opinion as you are so close to it and really it is less than a year..during which you are moving forwards..which i reckon will ultimately help your depression and clear debts.
Why not post this on the student board?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

It's a big decision NAGH although my gutt reaction would be to say just keep going it depends on soooo many things... and "not all debt is bad debt" remember! if you see this final year as an investment in your future maybe you could keep going but then again if you think that mentally it would help to have time out then then maybe you need to take this break. Just take your time and don't rush your decision. Whatever you decide your cheerleaders will be here to support you. x

Will my cheerleaders be wearing skimpy outfits?
It isn't all about my debt, my reason for thinking of taking a break, but I know it would be a great opportunity to get on an even keel again. Something I have not been on for sooo long. (Oh, and I could afford new shoes then too)*Everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real heads*

I am going back to see the Doc soon - maybe get back on the pills. I am feeling ok right now, but things certainly aren't as they should be really.
I love thinking about shoes - shoes are such wonderful things
