The last prosecution I dealt with was one discovered by the Police when they raided a Cannabis farm.
The meter had originally been bypassed but this had burned out (think nearly caused a fire) and a temporary fix put in place using a claw hammer (itself stolen from Wilkinsons)

3 statements later on what was thought to be a good case it was dropped by the CPS for lack of evidence to prove who had done the deed!

Yes, I can see where these big cannabis growers can fail in a prosecution, but not by long term residents such as the rich bloke who had` nt paid £50 in gas bills since 2005. They simply back billed him 19k . That`s serious theft in anyone`s language. There was no question it would go to court if he paid up, which he did. Also all the hundreds of little ones we happen to catch who` ve lived in the same properties for years. Its open and shut in my view, no excuse no get outs. The evidence is all there. The Magistrates used to sit in judgement in the past .We only catch a small percentage I think and we are only increasing the numbers who will have a go because they all see there are no prosecutions in 99.9% of the cases

Gas and electric theft is rampant in many of those grotty curry/kebab/chinese/pizza shops that now infest every high street in Britain. There is so much competition that in many cases, fiddling energy is the only way to make money in the shop. They trade on a certain section of the British public who are content to eat sh!te from a cockroach infested slum. Thats why there are so many of them. All staffed by bed sharing illegal migrant workers and illegal immigrants ducking and diving. They are a symptom of the degradation of British society.

don't hold back.....say what you think

  • How would YOU know Polly, we are both insiders, he knows how it works and believe me he s correct. I go into the backshop of a lot of these filthy takeaways to get to the meters and see the roaches and the dirt and the buckets of bits of smelly chicken lying about in the open etc. You would nt catch me having any takeaways at all of any description

You would never eat a take away of any kind as they are all filthy and cooked by bed sharing immigrants... What a lovley daily mail world you live in.

What about an electronic small smart meter attached to the incoming mains where people could nt get at them, so the useage in should match the customers meter or is that a bit fanciful ?

That sounds like a pretty simple solution. I mean it would only be the same as having your water meter out in the garden.

I am a lifelong labour voter, would nt dream of voting Tory. I must admit to liking the Daily Mail as they do get stuck into a lot of issues I m interested in. Sorry for having a superior knowledge of the back rooms of takeaways, its a perk of the job. I dont know if all the non English speakers I encounter back there are illegals. would nt bet against it tho

Interesting, are these helicopters going out specifically to look for weed growers?

No, they use thermal imaging to spot 'nabis farms between calls.

  • Surely if the takeaways were swarming with Roaches they would scoop em up and increase the meat content of the kebabs.
